Thanks for the question.

Almost all of the links will be nofollow, since that is the limitation set by the Wikis. But that doesn't mean the link juice won't flow to your site. My personal experience shows that even if links are nofollow, they are of very much high value.

You see, even though links on Facebook are nofollow, they get indexed very well, and pass on some real high juice to the site.

If the site is new, and has pretty less competition, as you mentioned, there's no point in doing any heavy-duty SEO for the site.

Wiki links are great, since they are.. Wiki links.

Google loves contextual links, and when these are from 1000+ different sources with spun content, it just gets better.

But one thing that I want to bring to your attention is here, that unlike many other type of links, Wiki links do not have an instantaneous effect on rankings.

Depends. If you need your website to be dancing in Google, go for huge link wheels that rank your page (temporarily) in only a couple of days.

If you need to build an authority site, that looks natural to Google, then go for slow discovering links.
