If you don't have mass forum spam tools or you want to post your link in topics on big forums here is something I regularly do/outsource:
* Find the forums you want links from. If you have no particular topics in mind I would pay special attention to stickied forum posts, these usually have more link juice and PR.
* find some links in the forum to find out if they are nofollow or not.
* create an account and make 5 genuine replies.
* go to the topic you want a link from and go for one of these two tactics:
1) make a genuine post and edit your post two days later. Insert your link then. Your post has been reviewed already or out of the picture due to followup replies.
2) quote another person and place your link in that quote. Moderators usually don't checj the quote but only your reply.
* make two other genuine replies in other topics to seal the deal.
* next forum.

A cycle can be done in 15-30 minutes.

With all mass forum spam this tip might sound useless. I hope it isn't shared before :)

Usually you can't edit your post after 30 minutes... If forums allow signatures you can make 5-10 posts, wait a week and then put links to your signature.

Yep, that's why I figured out the second method. Profile links... Heard a few times it can be detected as being signature links and thus be less valuable (no experience regarding this statement). And not all boards accept links in signatures. But it surely should be added as method 3. Thanks
