SEO for a huge website?

I have a big wordpress blog with about 500 inner pages. Each of those target a specific keyphrase. Most of them rank in top 30 in Google naturally.

What would be the best way (also moneywise) to do SEO for all these pages?

To cut a very long story short, get a lot of quality links.

start building target links to your inner pages one page (keyword) at a time.. Maybe even build linkwheels for specific pages... or at least a couple of web2.0's and then get massive links to those web2.0's..
gonna be a lot of work, but just work 1 at a time starting with the biggest potential (moneywise)

or hire 2 full time SEO staff that know and have the tools, cost you like $500-$600.

Each can probably work on 10 URLs per day....

I don't have a site with 500 pages, but do have one site with 100 pages. What I did is manually built up my spun anchor text URLs with getspintax.com for each page and then handed it off to my VA for submission.

Takes some time initially to get all the anchor texts in order, but future SEO blasts will be a lot easier.

Also, most service providers here on BHW will accept large spintax orders if you do it for them. So order a large 2000+ social bookmark blast for all your anchor texts.

How competitive are the terms for the inner pages? I'm in a similar dilemma, and just thought of an idea. Not sure how effective it would be; hopefully someone else could comment.

I mean, you could either buy AMR, or outsource it to Fiverr. I believe $5 gets you 1200 article submissions. Since the provider likely will do a horrible spinning job for that price, you, could write your own, well spun article, and have them use that. Once you get the article links back, you can blast those. I figure if your terms aren't too competitive (the inner ones) that might work well. Just a thought.

steadily build links to each inner page. don't bother with tools and spammy backlinks. go for quality and your website as a whole will rise steadily for all targeted keywords. This is the approach I took for one client's 300 page website.

I have similar situation, except my site has 100's of thousands of landing pages, and am sort of stumped how to build links across all of them.

Most of these pages target very low competition/low traffic keywords, so just a few links per page will get them ranked.

This is what I have come up with so far:
-As szhang said, your top priority should be to continue to build ongoing quality links to the homepage. I've noticed an increase in rankings across the board from doing this, pages with 0 backlinks rising in the SERPs after quality backlinks added linking only to homepage. It helps here if your homepage/main keyword you are targeting is a related broad term for your pages/secondary keywords. So for example if your main kw is Digital Cameras and then all your URLs are models of digital cameras, etc. However I am sure this method is still effective even if they are not related.

-If you own the site, try get into the mindset of being an affiliate for yourself. Pretend your site is now a small Amazon, and you want to create some sites to promote it. A site with many pages should have multiple categories to create a nice hierarchy. So using the previous example again, lets say your site is selling Digital Cameras and this is the main keyword you are targeting for the homepage. Then you have categories like SLR, Point and Shoot, Underwater, etc. Then all your pages are various products from each category (doesn't matter if they overlap) e.g. Kodak 2100X SLR.

Setup free web properties for each of these categories, and then create a page for each page on your money site in that category. If your money site is up and running already, this can be easily outsourced as everything is done you just need to create some accounts and make the content unique.

Then blast the hell out of these sites with automated tools

Rinse and repeat for additional keyword/anchor text variations.
