Have you ever noticed why females are lot way back in comparison to males in making websites (founder) .
i did a search of top 25 website founder (like big g,fb,twitter,ebay etc) and amazed to find the fact that there is hardly any woman making or founding any website.
I just want to know the female website founders\makers.
Why girls are a lot back with males to IM?
Do females have slow brain then males ?

Most women don't have ambition, or their ambition is for something different than acquiring currency.

If you look at the whole web, not just the top websites, there are probably more women than men with websites (just a guess) because of all the women who stay home from work to raise a family, etc. They have more time to devote to this stuff, most just don't go into IM but instead create sites about crafts and their kids and their latest blueberry cake recipe.

women is competing men in every spheres and fields of life..
The years are gone when they are only supposed to take care of childs and doing household things..
and IM is not stupid thing..

See the thing is that IM forums are chockful of idiotic retrograds who think the only goal of a female IMer is to get with some guy whose English is as deficient as his mind, so we prefer to go around our business without even mentioning we're women.

It wouldn't surprise me if most girls just lurk, pretend they're guys or simply don't come around these places. My two cents.

Yes, women can compete, can achieve, and are often ambitious. Yet there are aggregate differences between the sexes that are reflected by the OP's point about the lack of major pioneering female webmasters. The way extra testosterone dominates the male body and psyche (to mention just one hard biological marker) drives him to a optimally higher level of competitiveness.

A given woman can be possessed with a competitive nature, but it is equivalent to about the level of competitiveness of the AVERAGE man, not that of the TOP competitive males. This aggregate consideration would thus account for why some women have developed ambitious websites, but not to the level of the male pioneers.

Are you sure you didn't conduct a BIASED search?. Or did you look for websites pertaining to YOUR interests?. "Oh, look, out of the top 25 cool [car|nudie wallpapers|beer|sports|bodybuilding] websites and blogs, 25 were created and are maintained by males.".

I do create websites, out of which only 2 or 3 are really big ones, but they don't have my name on them. This biased and prevalent way of thinking is what made me chose neutral names in all forums I've ever joined. In fact, I believe BHW is the only forum I've mentioned my gender, ever, and that's because I like the place so much, Though, in all fairness, I've never felt discriminated, looked down or condescended upon, so I've a high opinion on fellow BHWers in general. Sure, there's the occasional 'disregard females' thread, but it's only natural in a forum where about, what, 90-95%? of the members are male. Male bonding or something, me thinks .

The truth is, as long as 99.99% of our human species continues to live in patriarchal societies, things won't change much for females, both in terms of perception and assigned roles.

I think it's because women like stability more than most things at work. They like to do things that get predictable results. Men on the other hand, are happy toying around with ideas that may not necessarily work all the time. Men I think are less risk averse compared to women.

i have taken top 25 websites according to alexa rankings which are ranked on the basis of traffic.

No joke, my wife is currently working on her WordPress website as I type.

I think it boils down to an interest in computers. If you do not use a computer, you can forget making a website. That's not to say that you have to be a geek to make a website but once you've been to a lot of websites and see how people are doing small things to make a big difference, you want to have a part of the IM success.

I have my projects and my wife has her's. I stick with email marketing and she sticks with blogging and working on her website. She also has a legit offline service business and her clients first find out about the company online. She is able to use PLR books and other online content to help fill the site with useful information. Good stuff.
