This guy seems to be working his ass off to get these servers running - hassling the data centres etc. Not easy over Xmas and New Year - you can bet your sweet ass that 1/2 the staff in these places were away on holiday leaving the tea boy and the cleaning lady to fix everything.
Not perfect - that's a shame, but partial refunds (or extensions) - that's fine, essp given how cheap and fast these VPS are.
My US based VPS gives me 98% uptime (so down 3-4 days a year) my far east VPS struggle to give me 92% uptime.
These far east VPS (that let you hammer them with whatever the hell you want BTW) are down for several weeks a year in total - they keep having no bloody power - servers are fine - but the power grid/network in some of these places seems to consist of a hamster wheel attached to a turbine.
I'm switching to a none US, none 3rd world (no offence meant) based VPS system in the next couple of weeks, and given the effort this guy puts in over Xmas (when All i've been doing is eating - playing rugby and breaking wind) seems more than sufficient to give me some confidence.
Kept quiet till the current issues were resolved - I have nothing to do with this guy or his service BTW - just on the lookout for a decent cost effective VPS.

Thanks, I have been working very hard over the last week to get these problem sorted and it is actually also my birthday today so I am glad everything is sorted and I can take it easy today.
I think it was just bad timing with Christmas and the long new years bank holiday weekend here, everything would have been sorted so much faster if the data centre was operating at their normal speed.
