If your sites looks like nothing more than a sales page it will get removed quickly.

Wiki links can be good for SEO, mainly because of the amount of websites that scrape the site, this takes your links with it!

I looked at clients wiki link and noticed that 40+ sites have scraped the wikipage

Of-course the do have value... a link from an authority site like Wikipedia should definitely have lot of seo value.. and if its not it brings in a lot of traffic..
but you have to play smart to get some sticky links there..

-You have to built a site which doesn't look to dodgy.
-Then get someone to write a good article about the subject.
- add your link to the wikipedia article.
-After acceptance you can add affiliate links in your written article or just switch
(wikipedia mods can however remove your link at any time if too spammy)

Populair wikipedia articles can get you traffic+sales and yes I do believe it has seo value even if no-follow.

Just curious but why post panda? Panda is about content, it didn't effect Wikipedia in a negative way.

I know. But many will argue (although I'm not one of them) that Panda also affected backlinking. I just threw in "post-Panda" to avoid that type of discussions, as they'd lead to getting side-tracked.
