domain blacklisted? What now?

I built a blog around a emd and realized it was not being indexed. I pinged regularly, xml sitemap, webmastertools, whois sites, and a couple bookmarks. So I checked the wayback machine and found that the emd was registered back in 2009 with a one page content.

I am going to assume that the domain was dropped by the previous owner. Now should I ask google for a reconsideration or cut my losses and start with a fresh domain?

Add adsense into it and see if it gets indexed, it should not take more than 2 days to get indexed if you get adsense up on that domain.

i had this domain and unique content for about a week. its just unusual to take this long to index. i dont know about you guys but it seems like its getting harder to index sites these days.

i have another domain that is 3 months old and still havent indexed. unique content, no previous owner, web master tools, privacy set to visible, robot txt is set for allow, a couple bookmarks and comments pointed to it, and still nothing. i have no idea why

How do you know it was blacklisted? If that's really the case, you need to contact Google and request for it to be reviewed to be indexed again.

I don't think it's taken me longer than 2 days to get a new domain indexed. I just run it thru indexing scripts that submit the domain to megafoo/whois directories.

update: its already been a week and I still see nothing on google. I been running my site thru indexing scripts and submitted my sitemap. Web master tools says "0 URLs indexed" it usually doesn't take longer then a couple days to index a site.

the weird thing is my site is indexed on bing so visibility isn't an issue.

so I was thinking should I just start over and buy a domain w the keyword in it or submit my site into consideration?

Submit a reconsideration request, what are you waiting for? Even if it's not banned there is no harm in in trying. Google will respond in days and tell you that its either not banned or it is violating Google guidelines, either way you'll know.

Start link building, that will work. I got several domains with the same problem, start blasting and it will get indexed
