Hey guys, I've spent about a month doing nothing except browsing these forums. I find it's time to change that and get my first website set up. So far, here are my plans:

1) Buy Domain/Hosting
2) Install wordpress
3) Write 5-7 articles on clickbank products
4) Use google alerts and yahoo answers to advertise my site.
5) Make money with clickbank commision!

Any suggestions or things to avoid so I have less of a chance of failing? Also which are the best domain/hosting sites to purchase from?

No, and google alerts. Not very experienced yet, I had read a nice method using google alerts on BHW.

My experience with g00g alerts was pathetic. Your might be different but either way, you'll have to do a lot more than g00gle and yahoo to get your site out there. You need to get those sites ranked with good SEO and tons of backlinks.

But agree you'll need to throw some links at your site. Try some fiverr gigs

Using your approach it will take some time before you see any consistent results. And no matter what you really do the chance for failure with internet market is always very high, especially so if you're an impatient person.

Don't rely too much on YA. Most of your account will probably end up getting suspended, especially if you are in a popular niche. Put more effort in SEO, for long term benefits.
