What is a good Video Editing Software??

Hello everyone, I was wondering what video editing software works the best for a newbie, for editing videos for say YouTube? Thanks in advance.

The absolute best in video editing are softwares such Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Sony Vegas.

But I suggest that only if you are going to do almost pro stuff like FreddieW, if you want to just watermark videos, aim for something MUCH easier.

adobe Premiere without a doubt is where it's at.

Thanks for the replies, I'm pretty computer savvy, but I guess I better play it safe and start with a software that is pretty easy until I get the hang of it a little more.

I have to agree with Frankie4Fingers but you also can use imovie can not get any simpler it is the dummies most easy program for editing video the only bad thing it is only for mac

oh well that sucks, I've been wanting a Mac so maybe this somewhat gives me a good reason to buy one, this and im interested in learning how to create iphone apps.

Sony vegas is easy and good.

but what do you want to do? If it's just joining some clips, putting music and text vindows movie maker will be great, free and simple.

If you want special effects, filters and manipulation of the images, I suggest you Sony Vegas but it's not easy at all.

well right now I'm just making simple videos on youtube, Like for example some videos on youtube can have other images pop up in the corners of the screen, like a news cast type deal, that's what I'm wanting to learn.

I like the software that came with my Cannon camera. It's called Image Browser.

Sony Vegas is what I've used for years. If you're computer is good enough to render stuff fairly quickly, it's the best IMO.
