Hackers getmorefollowersDOTinfo !!

I used these sites where you can get 100 followers by entering your username and password. I stopped using them for a while, then last night I broke down and used getmorefollowerDOTinfo . I normally change my password after every time I use it. I got lazy last night and didn't do it. Woke up and my a count with 40k users Was hacked. He changed the username and the email so I don't have a good chance of getting it back. Just want to let you all know to try to stay away from these sites as much as possible. It sounds good and all but in the end it's not at all worth losing an account over especially if it's one you worked on for a while. I was one of the people who always was behind changing my password all the time and tried to avoid getting hackEd. All it took was one time. I suggest sites like twiends or just following the followback team. Do it slowly and not rush for the easiest way. That's alWays a bad idea! Hope this helps

I still can't help but feel some respect for members posting here as a warning to other members, even though they now know, in retrospect, they did something not so bright or got too careless.

Few points if you follow, you will never hack.
1-)Never re-use your email password or Paypal password on any other site.
2-)Make your password complex,so it will not easy to decrypt.

generally you're right, however it won't help much here with the site mentioned by OP, you need to submit your twitter handle and password if you want to use it, i wouldn't call this hacking, you give them full access to your twitter account like it or not with submitting your login credentials

there's good reason to it why the following sentence is placed on the very page where you change your twitter password: "Never enter your password in a third-party service or software that looks suspicious."

however i'm also doing the direct opposite
using those 5 .info site's free plan on a daily basis, but i never forget to change my password before and after using the service

to OP: you can contact twitter and try to get your account back (they can check IPs accessed the account, email addresses in use), mention the getmorefollowers site and your password was stolen because you submitted on a site where you shouldn't have do that, twitter is not a big fan of these sites, but it's worth a try
