Planning to start a Dating Site Need Suggestions

Hello BHW Members,

I bought a Premium Domain to start a Dating site.The Domain Name is keyword rich.It has 64,700,000 search results in G.I have only one site in competition for the main keyword.

Need suggestions regarding.

1)What kind of script to install.
2)How can I promote it?
3)Technical and legal issues
4)I can handle the Search Engine Optimization but How can I get signups?
5)Shall I keep the site for free or shud I charge for membership?
6)Any other Tips from you wud be helpful...

In your present situation it would be advisable for you to sign up with
many of the dating affiliate programs with generic sites that you could
point your domain to.
I'm not saying that you can't go it alone but by the very nature of your
questions you clearly don't have enough experience in running a membership site.
You could earn very could commissions while learning and gaining experience without
having to build up your own database and deal with all the administration.

If you need to ask those questions then you are not ready to start your own dating site. Realistically you're going to need a considerable bank roll ($xxx,xxx min to do it right) to get into that niche as an advertiser.

Its because its free,which means many people will go there. And because many people go there each month, they make a lot of money from ads. A few years ago according to some reports the owner was banking $300,000 a month.

so i have been thinking for a while that someone should make a free and "real" online dating website with an improved interface...

I have no idea why his caught on though. Even with a free and pretty service, would be hard to beat them now

I personally wouldn't try to beat them until I have spent alot of time and resources researching them and the dating niche more. POF advertises in music videos now days(look at telephone by lady gaga)
