Free hosting IS NOT WORTH IT!

Hey everyone,

First of all, Merry Christmas to all my BHW friends .

I checked my site this morning and my free hosting account got suspended because my site had too much traffic (hopefully caused by real views and not spambots). Apparently I exceeded 20% CPU usage or something like that (the free hosting was with 000webhost). All I can say is if you have goals of your site getting huge traffic in the near future, upgrade your hosting to paid plans! Thankfully I upgraded to 000webhosts paid service via Hosting24.com and they said they can bring everything from 000webhost to them. All I had to do was change DNS settings, they said everything will take about an hour but understand there will be delays due to the holiday period.

On another note I am starting to average 4 conversions a day ever since I have purchased some services on here (and subscribed to BacklinksGenie 1 month trial). Hopefully things will get back to normal with my site as I know I am missing out on potential sales. I underestimiated my ability to get good traffic etc to my site, I wish I knew this earlier .

OFC free is very unreliable. If you are going to do some real business you have to get at least vps or shared hosting services. When you start making some money get a real dedicated.

I started with godaddy shared then moved to vps and now i have my dedicated

Free hosting is worth nothing, technically.

Free hosting can be good just 99% are not good, so it is a shot in the dark.

use it for testing, web proxies etc... not hosting your legit site.

I've used a few free hosts, as I have about 80+ paid hosts, and most are pretty much garbage. If the sites not down for whatever reason, it's down because they went 'out of business'. Waste of time.

Free hosting isn't worth the trial,it's so disturbing and makes one anxious.though that of google is kind of good and i'm using it.

I even found that shared hosting was a pain in the ass. VPS of dedicated is the way to go.

Well he didn't really learn it the hard way because thankfully his site will be moved. What would have sucked is if they just took his site offline

Never dealt with free hosts for one single reason...

Why would you have a $ site hosted on a free host when somebody else is in charge of it. Taking it down and other crap when they feel like it...

Doesnt make any sence to me.

Yeah I did, although my site was only down for a few hours. Have paid for hosting 3 months in advance, have already made that back through my site .

I really thought that there were good free hosting providers out there but this experience has made me realise the opposite.
