Jailbreaking iphone is legal or illegal..?

Apple block the device to do only what they want us to do in the iPhone. I think is you jailbreak it only for install things that you can't, or install apps from cydia, it's OK. but if you jailbreak it for install cracked apps, you are doing illegal things.

It's not illegal, it just voids your warranty.
Breaking EULA/ToS of any agreement - is illegal, you should not do it. The ghost of Steve Jobs may come haunt you....
jailbreaking iphone is against the TOS of apple? then why USA government declared it legal...? i found on google
You means, if i am jailbreaking for installing cracked apps then it's illegal but if for installing other apps, which are not available in app store then it's legal.. is it?
One more question, if i give a method to jailbreak iphone on my website then it is legal or illegal..? what's your opinion..?

It is NOT illegal to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad or Android. It's illegal to distribute or download apps without paying for them. Sharing a jailbreak method is NOT illegal.
what is the TOS of apple about jailbreaking iphone....?

Apple has been squawking about jailbreaking for years, mainly because they don't have control, once a device is jailbroken. Jailbreaking however, is NOT against Apple's TOS, mainly because they can't stop you from doing whatever you want with a device you paid for. They will continue to blah,blah, yadda, yadda, and "strongly advise against" jailbreaking but the bottom line is that it isn't illegal and it isn't against their TOS. The only thing they could do, is to void their warranty if a produce was jailbroken.
