Why would you charge 100-200 a month when you know your advertisers make 10,000-20,000 a month. That is believable please make me a slave in your multi level marketing network.

I understand what you mean. I havnt been able to explain more details due to I keep getting flagged on posts. I'm guessing its certain words.

But I still feel it can motivate. If it doesn't. Send it to the gallows (archives) =P

I too have thought about doing the same in my locale. We are a military town where a minimum of 500 families move in and out every year. Those moving in have no idea where to go for things off base.

The site I want to build out would have the same catagories as Yellow Pages but allow companies a cheaper mode of advertising.

To get the site traffic I would advertise it in the weekly base free newspaper. The ad rates for the paper are reasonable so overhead would be low.

The regular daily newspaper here does a list of "The Best of (our city)" each year in a readers poll. The choosen companies get to advertise this with a trophy graphic that denotes this honor. Those would be my premium ads as they are allowed to use the graphic in other ad placements.

Once word gets around, and other companies see the site, it would pretty much sell itself.

This is exactly right. Word of mouth works very well. Expecially in my industry. I travel to events & pass out flyers. That alone helps out a lot. I'm going to try it for this & see how it works out. Luckily I generate all targeted real traffic to my site so a few companies have already got their monies worth.

But you sir have an excellent idea. You should definately run with it.
