You cold-called companies and closed 70% over the phone? Just the other day you said you have a site that does $500k per year. The stories keep coming.

I too have thought about doing the same in my locale. We are a military town where a minimum of 500 families move in and out every year. Those moving in have no idea where to go for things off base.
The site I want to build out would have the same catagories as Yellow Pages but allow companies a cheaper mode of advertising.
To get the site traffic I would advertise it in the weekly base free newspaper. The ad rates for the paper are reasonable so overhead would be low.
The regular daily newspaper here does a list of "The Best of (our city)" each year in a readers poll. The choosen companies get to advertise this with a trophy graphic that denotes this honor. Those would be my premium ads as they are allowed to use the graphic in other ad placements.
Once word gets around, and other companies see the site, it would pretty much sell itself.
Opinions?

I have dealt with hundreds of companies and even if they did sign up with you with out some sort of conversion or return after the 1st month they will cancel. 80% of the companies I work with would not keep marketing services with any company I know if they did not get a ROI. So i sense a little over exaggeration but either way I wish you luck..

Ha, I had to Law'l at this. This OP leads to a rant - It is nigh impossible to find a free forum with quality information, informative & thoughtful posts, cohesive threads, or members with above average intellectual capacity. Sh*& I go to Warrior Forum...nothing but BS, go to a few other forums...same. I come here...guess what? Gotta sift through the same BS.
I typically do not click thread titles like these but had to keep reading the posts bc they were funny...OP needs to get a reality check.

Let's see if I can post this without it flagging.
The reason I gained them in my opinion is being in my niche for soo many years & knowing + networking with a lot of people.
With that said. If I didn't know a lot of people or have a good reputation in my industry. This probably wouldn't have worked this well.

I've never seen BHW gurus posts these kinds of thread. It seems that BHW newbies make more than BHW's Gurus. Newbies have only three weeks on BHW and have learnt so much here to realize huge money for just one day. Surely they meet Alibaba here and I am wondering why did I miss him when I was newbies? loll funny newbies here!

Make money on my own & have been doing so for years.

Its to help you gain knowledge. I highly doubt every business owner in the world started on bhw
