Don't want to be negative or bash you/him. But coding games vs web manipulation software or web scripting is a completely different league.
Not saying that he couldn't, it's just coding games vs web based software can't even really be compared. It's like apples vs oranges.

If you're serious about it, throw up some local wanted ads (if you live in the city).
But be prepared to pay a bit though, as you're after a senior programmer (one who knows "everything").
