Background: I used to run an ebay business which I started in 2008, by my 9th month I was a platinum powerseller, month 15, we had 40K UV a month, I was making good money, I turned a profit in each of my year, then of course, the day came, sept 9th 2011, paypal had banned me.

In the past I was browsing this site, to expand my ebay business, and knew some of SEO and niche marketing from other mentors.

After a few friends told me about the site and their dealings, I started researching here and WF more (post paypal banning)

Though not a success story yet, I found a niche, registered an EMD with great Google payouts (so many acronyms) 3 days ago, and started with google adsense. After one hour of some site content, and going live, earnings are already coming in, though at this point, I can buy a pack of gum. Anyone like a piece? After this site is done, repeat and continue - like Wrigley says "Double the Pleasure, Double The fun!". I have learned so much here. I will add any techniques that I incorporate as I want to give back to the community that helped me.

The risk department stated to many chargebacks (1 in 3 years) and high percentage of returns (I don't understand how they penalize you for providing good customer service, people are buying over the internet, are generally not educated in my niche (jewelry), I would rather PayPal charge me for a return, its part of business. I digress...

Back to your question: there answer was very vague, and stated I was a fraud risk to them, they would not comment further, I have been persistent in fighting the case, and have recently got an email regarding one item, I will make a post on that as PayPal's communication progresses saga turns into a worthy post of how to get back from being banned. I plan to continue both ventures.

They stated over 1% of your monthly revenue of chargebacks is considered high, 2) if your returns are over 10% iof your GMV is considered high.

I have a strategy in plan and am working on building backlinks via spun articles and google alerts, I wrote a whole post, but it was deleted write before I was about to post it , I will write it again later. Too lazy and unfocused LOL.

That would mean if someone were making 10k a month and got a chargeback for $100 then the account would get banned. Someone at paypal must have pressed the wrong key on their keyboard when typing up their response

So you ranked high in google immediately without doing any SEO? If not, how did you get your traffic?

not ranked high on google yet, and haven't checked my GA yey, I have done some onsite SEO, there is great quality unique content, and submitting articles focused on my EMD keyword today.

Is there any way to pivot your old eBay business to an ecommerce store?
You are familiar with running that business, and you were successful.
Maybe there's a way to keep that business afloat, learn SEO at the same
time and cut eBay and PayPal out of the picture?

They are nazi's but it takes a good amount more of 1% chargebacks than just 1 month.

Yes I have full intentions of doing that, I have a 6 year old domain, and our company name, domain name has a low competion keyword with tons of matches which match co name and domain, it is just a matter of time, as I paid and messed around with joomla templates, but my friend is now so busy he cant help me out, wordpress limits me to 100 products, though it is simple to use, joomla once I pay for a simple design would allow me to learn it again, i dont know of a free open source that doesn't require knowledge of code, my knowledge of joomla is knowing where to put online seo, keyword research, but I only know virtuemart well. everything is greek to me.

magento - I can forget. Not sure about opencart's backend, its a simple design, though it may be the best option, can always have a layout made down the road when I generate income.
