I have been approached by a person that has offered me 20 bucks to allow a guest post on one of my sites. I am new to this and have no idea if this is a reasonable offer or not. Of course there would be an outbound link involved.

Also what if any problems could arise out of this deal ?

Really would like to hear others opinions on this.

Nothing wrong Just go ahead. Usually nobody pays $20 for a guest blogging as the site owner is getting a unique article and in return he gives a link back to his blog.

If the article is related to your blog then accept it.

What are your goals on your own site? How's your site ranking? How is his? Are you in the same niche?

All rhetorical questions you should answer yourself first.

Depends on your goals and his, if he has a quality site that isn't direct competition doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Millions of sites on the internet do this each day--just verify his site's credibility first.

I've had several of the same type of offers, I asked for $50 per post and they paid up. The articles were actually related to the niche and pretty well written. The backlinks were painfully obvious, but their money was good. Although I did backdate them since my blog has many legit readers and I didn't want the articles on the front page.

People normally don't charge for guest posts but why deny money when it's offered to you ? How much you should charge depends on how much traffic your site gets and how valuable that traffic is.

If it's positive cash flow and it doesn't destroy your site, go for it.

That's actually a good price for allowing someone else a guest post. I did a post on my blog for someone that just wanted the link. They paid me $125 to do it. I grabbed it and ran...right to the pawn shop to buy a new guitar. Hah.

Totally do it.

It depends on your page rank and traffic of your site also you can charge more if you have good pr ,traffic and relevant to your industry.

The price will depend on your 1.site type (blog or niche site) 2.matrix - site traffic (Ahrefs traffic) 3. Backlink profile etc. Check this first. Can you give your site url
