SpinChimp vs. SpinnerChief Elite

YOu have both the cloud thesaurus and the Miracle Thesaurus - you don't need any more than that. :)
Good to know. Is there any way to change hotkeys? I'm used to tabbing through synonyms and I've found that's much faster than the key combination standard in spinner chief elite

settings/advanced options/advanced options
Then check enable tab for next synonyms

yep, you can set your own: settings/advanced options/advance options tab

Yes the interface is a bit outdated, but when the new version is released you will have a new fancy interface to play with :)
The paid thesauruses are more for people that wants to use the free spinner with some added languages without buying the elite version.

I really hope the developer will get ahaid and come up with a fresh, good overview and very easy, intuitive userinface in a 2012 style.

The best way to achieve that is to look out what everyone wants and what allready works effective and to ask your existing customers.

I don't used it yet, but watched some videos. The style is really a little outdatet..

When there will be a new interface ?

Been watching this thread for a while. I am really surprised the chief guys haven't started calling SpinChimp a cheap rip off of SpinnerChief like they've done at some other forums.

If anyone here is still deciding between the two, PM me and I'll set you up with an extended trial of the Chimp. It won't take you long to work out which way you want to go ;)

Oh, and we don't charge for upgrades.

Okay, here's my honest review after using both SpinnerChief Elite and SpinChimp heavily for a few days.

To put it simply: SpinChimp blows SpinnerChief Elite out of the water at this point. There really is no comparison. The SCE interface is clunky and does not lend itself to quickly spinning and adding your own synonyms/phrases. SpinChimp is the polar opposite of that: slick interface which lends itself to fast spinning and easily adding synonyms. The parts of speech thing in the thesaurus is awesome and the synonyms it produces are unmatched. I especially like tabbing through and having phrase-level and word-level synonyms. Essentially it's as fast as you can click and produces extremely high quality content if you do it manually. I've also found that just automatically spinning with the chimp works better than even the "magic thesaurus" or whatever in SCE. It produces more deeply spun content that is more unique and about the same level of readability. the Magic thesaurus might make it a tiny bit more readable but it's not worth it because it spins so few phrases!

The scraping in SCE does not compensate for the horrible interface, lackluster support (and I really mean that, took me days to get a simple response) and overpriced nature of the whole deal. I got the christmas deal and I still feel ripped off. I guess this is why they don't have a return policy, huh?

Then there's SpinChimp which has a 30-day money back period so I wasn't worried about just taking it for a spin (no pun intended). It literally took me 5 minutes of using the program to realize it is miles above what SCE does.

The SCE people said that they are coming out with some new version which I'm interested in seeing but if they ask me to pay for an upgrade I'll kindly tell them that their product, service, and business model is about as quality as a Pinto (if you're American you'll get the reference).

In summary: SpinChimp is fast, easy and nice to look at but above all it works. Well. I really mean that. You'll find that you can blaze through deeply spinning a 500 word article so fast it makes TBS look like a joke. SCE is clunky, slow and ugly to look at with a thesaurus that can't hold a candle to SpinChimp's and that's the most important thing at the end of the day.

If you have any sense I'd say stay away from SpinnerChief Elite unless you're a masochist or would like to burn some cash. If they had a return policy or something I'd say try it out but I think it's pretty clear why they don't have one. It has nothing to do with cracking since it calls to the server every time, I think they just genuinely know that after about a week of trying to get it to work like it should and learning all the ins-and-outs, people will just say, "F**k it," and ask for a refund.

SpinChimp is having a sale now too which makes it ~1/2 of the cost of SCE normally. I think I'm going to buy it just because SCE sucks that much.

Note: the one thing SCE has that SC doesn't is a scraper but I think there are MUCH better options for that like Get Article Pro which is sold here and blows SCE out of the water on all counts.

I hope this helps clear up some of the differences and pros and cons. Happy spinning!

Glad you took the time out to do an honest review and make clear what I have been saying for months now.

The only thing spinnercheif has over spinchimp IMO is a dev that aggressively pushes the product on unknowing consumers on every IM forum on the web.

FPC -- I agree with your review, SpinChimp is by far the best spinner out at the moment, and the only spinner that I can practically use, as Chief is not necessarily awful but the interface does make me a bit sick.

Yes, I am a supporter of Chimp simply because it's solved my spinning problems and is (and this is vital) very easy to customize and develop the thesaurus. The support over there is also top notch. And they don't heavily promote on BHW unlike the Chief dev's comments which can be quite aggressive at times if you don't happen to agree with his conviction that Chief is the best. Which unfortunately it's not. I have no affiliations either way, my experience is simply that Spinchimp > Spinnerchief. Take of that what you will, do your own research.

P.S. I spin articles of over 150,000 words each and SpinChimp spins within a few minutes. I'm on a very average celeron laptop so just to give you an idea of what it can do. TBS told me that they have a 5000 word article limit. LOL. No wonder I couldn't spin shit with that.

Wow, cheers for the review.

Just so you know, we have an app due this year which is much more than a scraper. Used with SpinChimp it's going to be a killer combo but that's all I can reveal :)

Haha you think the Chief guys are pushing hard...

Sounds nice. It'll be a standalone companion app then?

Will it be included with SpinChimp or a separate purchase?

I am looking for a spinner too. Thanks for an honest review and not being an affiliate or merchant. I tried out Spinchimp and am definitely digging the interface too.

Yeah it will be a whole new app with some interfacing between products.

Thanks FPC, just the critique I was looking for. Kinda starting to get tired of all the praise for whatever product or solution is being pushed at the moment. Which ironically only works against it long-term, due to reduced credibility. Glad to see more realistic reviews here.

Thanks for the appreciation. You can count on totally impartial reviews from me since I'm not affiliated with any companies that make these nor do I do affiliate sales/marketing of any kind.

Another product I've been pleasantly surprised with is uBot but that's a whole different thread.

I just wish I could get a refund on SCE but I know that is probably not going to happen :(
