Without going into too much detail, because I'm not here trying to sell the source code; I have a piece of software, with full source code, database and server backend that I'm no longer interested in running. There was a source of income for the software, so it would have interest to some investors, but I shut that down because I was no longer interested in dealing with the upkeep.

The source code is completely original and all was done by my developers. I'm just looking for a place like Flippa, but where I could sell the software source, etc.

Please do not PM me about trying to purchase or get more details, because I'm not here to try and sell it. Just looking for some input on if or where I can place everything up for auction.

Very interesting. I was a bit confused at first, because I didn't see anything with an auction, but then saw that you can sell the software source for $X. I just don't know if the software I'm talking about would do well on a site like this. I think I'd be better off just auctioning it off and selling it to one person, but I guess I'll see how things play out.

Thanks, though!

I think you can sell it on flippa if you make a sales website around your software.

I thought about that, but the problem is that I have transformed the website now and I'm just removing the software from the website. So, I guess I could setup a new website and put the program and sale page there, but then when I posted earnings, yet they see the website was created only weeks ago, it would look really sketchy.

You can still list it on flippa and explain the situation in description. Buyers will still be interested if they see money making potential in the software.

Well, if you software is interesting (this you could actually test, by setting up the adwords campaign) then you will succeed.

Have you thought about simply giving eBay a shot.

Also, I agree with the other guys idea of making a sales page of your own for it.

Seem like your two best chances.
