Why can't I find myself?

Logged in or not logged in, if I search my username in members list it does not find it. I also don't appear in the member list. Why is this?

well i can get to that page if i click on my username when logged in. however if i use member search, or just browse members i will not see myself in the list. not even if i am logged out. so its a bit weird.
