Kangaroo Mafia - For Aussie Eyes Only

I just welcomed another aussie onto the forum and it got me thinking (in that way too many beers tends to do) about setting up a bit of a BHW Kangaroo mafia.

I don't know about you guys but I find it easier to rank my .com.au pages in G.com than G.com.au and am always looking for ways to give my aussie sites a bit of a push on G.com.au.

I've got shitloads of AA lists, but not enough .com.au's in there. I've got my own private blog network in it's infancy that's heavily slanted to .com.au's as well. I run a couple of forums that are .com.au as well.

Maybe we could put our suntanned good looking aussie heads together and help each other out a bit. Even a few one way homepage link exchanges could help us all out (eg a links to b, b to c, c to d, d to e, e to f, f to a). I'd be willing to exchange posts on my private blog network for similar - or anything ending in .com.au for that matter.

I control probably about 5,000 pages ending in .com.au, maybe about 1000 of them have PR and about 100 are PR4+ so I'm sure I could help someone out somehow.

Lets throw around a few ideas in this thread, meet each other, talk about how Ricky should immediately retire, things like that and look towards setting something up in the new year.

I'm in travel - kiwi's don't travel to Australia - you move here ...........lol.

.co.nz's aren't really much use to me, but if this gets off the ground they may be useful to others - so stay tuned and once there's a few aussies involved we'll discuss letting our little brothers from accross the ditch in.

And congrats on the cricket. I play on betfair and got you guys at $401 early on the final day - so that eased the pain somewhat.

(And my standard comeback of "2 world cups" just doesn't work anymore.)

I just registered a domain www.kangaroomafia.com , I'll throw up a forum when I get home tonight. If we get a few in and we all want to share the cost we could even set up a .com.au blog network amongst ourselves. Schwagoo's selling the code from the VIP network for about $250p/m. Maybe even look at selling it as an Aussie SEO service to cover costs.

I host some sites in oz and heaps offshore too - depends what I'm using them for. I just used crazy domains as I've got some credit left with them from a couple of .org.au's that I got rejected.

there's definately a seo market here in oz - it's just a bit more face to face.

I've got 2 clients at the moment and used to have 5, but they all came from direct contact by me. I'm not too interested in doing seo for clients anymore though. I've got my own big picture that keeps me busy enough. The 2 I have left are friends.
