Is it Panda???

My new site is about 1 month old, I did alot of manual link building, and then a large scrapebox blast that gave me about 4.5k backlinks. After doing the manual link building, I was on about page 13-14 of a highly competitive keyword. Then a few days after doing the SB blast I couldn't find my site anymore?

I know one of the ways to get out of this is to build high PR backlinks. How many should I go for?

If I search for my site's name it still shows up in the SERPs but when I search for the keyword I'm ranking for it's not there anymore.

Btw, the blast I did had just one keyword anchor text on ALL comments.

I'm no seo expert, but I would never blast like that direct to my money site, especially a month old site.

I'd wait for someone into seo to advise better, but I go for quality over quantity with my backlinks.

Google do changes very regular, so it might be that too.

You are either in Google dance for a week or two or mostly likely sandbox = your site is still indexed but will be gone for several months. I had one site that was sandboxed for 6 months!

Solution is to keep adding content and keep building links, especially high pr ones and hope one day it comes back. But given it is only 1 month old, i would personally register a new domain, transfer over the content and build links properly on the new site. Once the new site is ranking, you could always 301 redirect your old domain to the new one but not straight away.

what have happened with you is not panda coz i listened panda do fight for copied contents or short contents.... what is happening here with you is because of link spam.
google spam your so much excess of links in shorter time.

this is not about increasing your links rapidly but slowly and smartly do link building.

The domain is awesome, and since this is a highly competitive niche, I think I'm going to keep it. I'll try my luck at doing some High PR link building and see if it crawls out of this muddy sandbox -_-.

No, its not Panda... Its your backlinks that killed your website rankings.

Google has discovered your blasted backlinks and devalued them.

Not Panda at all.

What happened is that google detected unnatural link building footprint because of using same keyword everywhere, your website will not show up in google now for 2-6 months. Meanwhile yes build high authority backlinks about 3 per week and unique content as much as you can.

For future I would not recommend blasting at all, rotate you anchors, the best pattern I discovered that works for key word rotation is 30% "main keyword" 30% "long tailed keyword" 20% "just URL as keyword" 10% "picture as anchor" picture has to have a keyword in its file name or you have to have a text around that picture that has a keyword.

Keep in mind if it is a long term website then no blackhat, whitehat will take about 2 years before you will start seeing better rankings for highly competitive keyword and only after 4 years is when google will completely trust your site and give it the best ranks it deserves.

Try to take it easy in the future with sites you plan to monetize. You really have to do some manual labor as far as high quality manual backlinks. Just a few a day so that you dont look suspicious. You just raised a huge red flag with the blasting.

Yep, that huge blast is what killed it for you. If the site was new, you can be sure it was from that blast.

From my split testing, sites 'age' does actually matter, as well as the amount of other links as well. A site that has hundreds of thousands of links already pointing to it, and then gets blasted with thousands won't really get impacted compared to a site that only has hundreds of links, then gets blasted with thousands. Just for the newbies to know...

Hmm.. my site just jumped from PR0 to PR2 this week, and it's only a month old. Hopefully that'll get it going .

Just an update. After 5 months of being totallly nowhere, my site has jumped to page 6 of a single-word keyword with 79,000,000 exact match competition. Had this been a medium or low competition keyword, it would probably be on page 1. I guess Panda didn't like the way my site tasted .

Time to do some serious backlinking.

Acctually, I haven't. After it was gone from SERPs I made a mistake of just leaving it there without still building backlinks or content. I was just waiting for it to come back, but part of my site is a directory, so manual backlinks from other webmasters still came in.

Yes, of course. As alex mentioned above, I should've made atleast 3 high PR backlinks every week. I guess I couldn't just wait for it and jumped to another method . But if I hadn't done manual backlinking in the first place and just spammed my site with Scrapebox, it probably wouldn't have come back at all.

haha this thread inspired me to check a site that got totally sandboxed by going over the top with a direct scrapebox blast about 8 months ago. The site is now 12th on its main keyword.

Hopefully a wee push will get that on the 1st page
