LSD for me as a younger guy was Long Slow Distance.

In my teens and early 20's I would log between 75 and 100 miles weekly running and a couple of days a week we did LSD... long slow distance as opposed to a 10 mile run hard we would do 18 -22 at a leisurely pace just running at about a 7 minute per mile pace chatting and expanding our lungs.

Very true. From what I understand, if what you are taking is actually LSD-25 and not something else that the seller is only claiming is acid, then there is no such thing as a "bad trip" in chemical terms (so buying from a trusted seller so you can be sure you are getting real LSD is essential). The type of experience you have all comes from inside your own head.

I've never had a bad trip but I know plenty of people who have, but they all had some kind of mental inhibition or negative stuff going on in their lives at the time that caused them to freak out.

Take it from someone who was in their early 20's back in the 70's. Sex on acid is a unique experience. Back then it had several trade names. Orange Barrel, Purple Microdot, Mr. Natural, and Blotter.

Several times my good friend Spik and I would sit and look at each other and start laughing histerically. Those that have never taken it will tell you horror stories. I never had the classic "bad trip" that you used to hear about.

I do remember one time when the phone rang and I couldn't catch the damn thing. It kept running around the table.

The truest reply to the op yet. Back in the mid 70's I was about the same age and while I never did tons of it, I did my share. Back then there was a lot of speed mixed in with it which sucked but I always had great trips. We used to go camping out in Joshua Tree (mojave desert) and holy shit, you aint seen nothing until you've seen the milky way out there with a headful of acid.

Concerts? Fuhgetaboutit. We went and saw ELO one night while we were tripping. Unreal.

Sex? You hit that nail right on the head. INTENSE

Oh yeah, and get ready to laugh. A lot.

Everything is magnified, everything is just taken up a notch. I have no idea what acid is like these days and actually I don't do any drugs at all other than expensive cigars and martinis.

My advice is this: Whatever emotions you have going in will more or less dictate your experience. Be happy, dont be stressing out on shit and I would suggest if you do it, do it with someone who has done it before and knows what they're doing. Not knowing what it's like these days I can't tell you what kind of trip you'll have but its not like you will be hallucinating non-stop for hours on end. There are peaks and valleys.

And like one person said, if you do it, do it because you want to. Personally, I would never suggest someone do any drugs but I have never heard of anyone becoming messed up due to acid. Charles Manson was a fucking lunatic, career criminal long before he started tripping.

Oh yeah, it's not something that's gonna wear off in an hour or so. Keep that in mind. And I used to be exhausted afterwards probably coz of the speed in it back then.

then enjoy the psychedelic music, the blacklight decorations, the people there, laughing , dancing...

Well, everybody has a different body and mind, so either way, you are right. For some might do well, for other, not.

Well, I wouldn't advice that for first-timers. But yeah, I know what you mean. Actually I don't caz I never tried it :/ Someday..

No, me and my best buddy are doing it for the first time. Though I've been doing alot of weed in the past year. Other than that I've got experience with alot of alcohol and once I've tried cocaine which is really popular at my uni, but I don't want to get into blow (that stuff is just not for me, thougghh its great ).

So we're going to do LSD for the first time. We've got 1 stamp each.
We're planning do lsd, then do 2grams of weed from a bong. Then go to a party at my friends house which is in the city center. Then go back to my friends apartment and trip watching movies and such.

Do u guys think its a good plan? I've got some psytrance, dnb, dubstep(really curious how this one sounds while tripping) and psychill ready for the party.

I argued that its not a good idea to go to a party because lately I enjoyed partying only with people who do drugs (MJ). I enjoy tripping without leaving the apartment. But whatever ) the friends that we're going to party with are my good friends too so I guess I won't have a bad trip.

Rule of thumb with strong hallucinogens like LSD and shrooms is don't do it if you don't handle pot well (some people don't), or else you'll have a VERY bad trip.

People who are saying it will f up up permanently, not really true, one time isn't gonna do much damage.

I haven't done it myself, but have many friends who have, ranges of experiences is fairly wide. I've seen people totally trip their balls off, and have had conversations with people who were under the influence, where if they didn't tell me they were on LDS I would never be the wiser.

I say go for it (just don't take too much) and be sure you are going to be around people you are comfortable with and you most likely should be fine.

Personally I wouldn't go to a party for your first time. Social interaction can be a bit hit and miss on acid. I'd just sit around in the apartment with your bong, chill out, listen to some music, maybe watch some vids, sit in a comfy chair and stare out the window. Maybe go for a nice walk or something if you feel up to it.

To be completly honest with you I would not do the weed while tripping especially if it's your first time. Weed will throw the trip into overdrive.

I've been heavily involved in the club/rave scene as well as the underground doof/bush psy parties for about 5 years now so I know my way around the world of drugs fairly well and have seen alot.

With hallucenigens especially acid as other people have said your mindset is EVERYTHING. If you are the happiest motherfucker surrounded with your 3 best mates you will have one of the most entertaining nights of your life. On the other hand if your dog just died or something your in for 6-12+ hours of torture. (depending on your natural tolerance/other factors)

Personally I loved taking acid, much more than any other hallucination. But I always went out of my way to make sure everything was setup for the night so nothing could go wrong.

I would also strongly advise having a trip sitter for the first time. Someone sober to watch over you guys and keep you on the right path and stop you doing anything tooo stupid (I should have done this my first trip, I took it out at a bush doof and ended up walking through the bush by myself for two hours while also involved sitting down on a log and having a conversation with a tree. I did find my way back to find the floor had turned into alphabet soup and I started reading messages in the sand which was rather cool)

Actually I did it for the first time a couple month ago... purchased half a strip of blotters for $50 and then tripped with 2 of my best friends all night. The trip was wild I just started seeing blurred visual colors and then later we went outside and cracks in my driveway looked like the grand canyon... definitely a crazy trip. If you trip you should throw on some old Ren & Stimpy cartoons, that is what we did and must have laughed for 2 hours with a 5 minute break of not laughing.
