Wordpress Problems_ Could use some help.

I just registered a new domain and hosted with hostgator. I installed WP via QuickInstall in HG and threw up a few articles, along with the free heatmap theme ( was thinking about changing; too much crap. I'd rather have less menu's and increase the CTR. Anyway, I am having a hard time with making changes to my blog. The dashboard speed is horrible! It takes me like 5 minutes to move from editing one part to another. I have ZERO plugins installed and my blog is brand new. My websurfing is perfect, and the blog itself loads fast. Any ideas?

"Just registered" As in 2 days ago. I doubt its a DNS problem. Plus, that wouldn't affect my dashboard, no? Either way, I am thinking of just saving the articles, saving the pictures, killing the blog altogether and then re-install WP and rebuild. Unless someone can help me understand what is going on here?

I would contact the live support with HG.

Side note:

You can simply tell WP to re-install without losing anything (if it goes smoothly).

Looking at the admin area:

On the left in the Dashboard tab click "Updates" then click the "re-install" now button.

That will re-install all the core files leaving your posts and pictures alone.

I contacted HG support and the techs could not help. They ran a few tests, but then insisted that they could not figure it out. They opened a ticket for me, I am awaiting HG response.
