It is probably a redirect issue, if the page redirects it will not be crawled as such it won't be able to crawl your website.

For example if your website home is at http://www.domain.com and http://domain.com redirects to that address do not enter your profile in as http://domain.com as it won't be able to crawl.

hmm.. I think no. Is a WP installation > Generall Settings > WordPress address >> Site address URL is the same in all two domains all go direct http://mydomain.com and it is the same hoster.

thx&greetz

If you want to PM me the website address as you entered into NHSEO I will take a look at it for you.

No if it is saying installed on too many machines you will need to contact the email address in the message.

The comments are pulled from a bundled comments file though you can set your own for each individual profile if you would prefer. Both support spintax.

had 20 sites on NHSEO

wake up this morning - all 20 listed at Spamhaus

Obviously it hit some sites that were set up to catch people using tools like these over the last week or so... so while its not too hard to get removed - enter some info

think its not the brightest idea to use your domain like I did - as you just don't need this type of attention .. Web 2.0 from now on for me.

Cheers

Jimbo can you comment on this? This scares the hell out of me right here.

What exactly scares you about being listed by spamhaus or similar lists? After reading that earlier I decided to check my Ip address and it was present in one of the lists for email spam (I don't even email my customers let alone spam emails to anyone) so I reset my router to get a new IP address and that was also listed in there.

As it has never impacted me signing up to or using any websites I wouldn't have even known if I hadnt checked. It has never affected me in the past so I do not intend to worry about it now either.

Also I just checked all of my server IPs and not one is listed in there and they host all of my websites that I regularly run through NHSEO so again it isn't going to impact any of my websites.

Anytime you post your website or any info to the internet you run the risk of ending up on some list just based on the fact it is so easy to flag a message, email, comment or any other type of info as spam so no activity you partake in on the internet is safe.

I am not aware of any blog platform that uses spamhaus either which would explain why after weeks (cumulative) of running NHSEO none of my server IPs have ever come up in a spamhaus list. The most popular spam filter by far is akismet and even being listed on there will not lower your chances of getting links through NHSEO at all.

I am not saying it is impossible this is a result of the actions NHSEO has taken but it is pertinent to understand that the IP could be listed before you even get it (such is my case) and also that you could get put on a list without ever spamming anything, some people on the internet are malicious without reason.

If anyone is worried about getting their IP listed in lists like this NHSEO fully supports proxies to hide your true identity when posting.

If it were that easy, I would flag all my competitors

Hi Gurus,

I am a newbie with the SEO tools. i recently created a website to generate IT training leads. TeraAdsdotcom . so i used NoHands SEO to generate traffic. i ran the nohands SEO after providing required details in the first screen of NoHandsSEo. its logs show that the article is posted in so & so website.

just to cross check i logged in to that website and manually searched through all that website but no luck.. i cant find details of my website in that particular webpage.

if anyone can comment on my process or correct me if i am wrong... your views will be highly appreciated...

Regards,
Shabbir.

From the FAQ post in this thread
Why do I not see my link when I check a post?
Not all posts will be accepted and result in a link. When No Hands SEO runs it will do all of the link checking for you automatically and ping the page if your link is found. If you are looking at the unconfirmed links or the posted links you are not looking at the confirmed links. If you want to see what links have been confirmed output the confirmed list by right-clicking on your profile(s).

Just an FYI, but one of the most widely used anti-spam plugins in wordpress, AVH First Defense, uses spamhaus.

I didn't actually know that, thanks for enlightening us. Still, using proxies will completely eliminate any risk of this affecting your home IP address

Not only that but being "one of the most widely used anti-spam plugins" it is still far from being widely used, Akismet has over 7million downloads whereas AVH has just ~38k downloads. Being banned by akismet does not lower chance of finding auto approve links by any significant margin.

well

my NHSEO was using 12 private proxies from all over the USA

those were the only 20 sites in NHSEO and I was using no other method of promotion on those sites - yet like I said yesterday they were all banned the same day by the registrar.

as noted before - I had started to get alot more complaints from Blog Owners - as even though I had it checked not to hit the same domain more than once - it was actually doing so - as the guy copied and pasted the comments posted.

So I think it ran into some sites that use this feature related to Spamhaus reporting - and bam nailed all my sites.

My personal lesson learned was never to use this tool on a Client's Site and only stick to Web 2.0 for these links - as the risk is just too high.

I'm no SpamHaus expert but this is what happened to me and that's why I posted here so others could either protect themselves or change tactics slightly.

All the best.
