how important is it to backlink/index your backlinks?

Yes i know it is important but how far up on the priority list is it really?

The idea of spending money and hours on making backlinks that may or may not count towards your site is an depressing thought. The question is, how important is it to get those backlinks you been working so hard for to get noticed by the big G?

Is it necessary to spend the extra 15$ per month for services like linkdex or backlinksindexer?

I have already tried the whole rss feed deal (linklicious/nuclear crawler) with not much improvement.

Indexing your backlinks is as important as creating them.

Creating a backlink and never get it indexed will bring you NO VALUE at all since the Search Engine will not be aware that your backlink exist.

Jokerz is right... But don't go overboard and index TOO much... The search engines will get suspicious... I'd say index some of them and leave others to be found by themselves for a nice dripfeed... ;D

like to care expand on why they are useless? the idea of lending a helping hand to make backlinks recognized makes sense. The only possible downside i can think would be the unnatural pattern of it but like moeatwa said, just pick a couple to index.

Directory Submissions: thesе arе easy backlinks frоm high pr sites additionally directory arе alsо great ways to get уour business noticed.
