Do you still use Articlesbase?

I used to use Articlesbase fairly extensively and I am wondering if anyone still uses it with some degree of success.

Are any of you getting traffic from your articles on there? What kind of traffic is it still producing? (if any)

I don't use Article base because article marketing is helpful but not to great extent. You cannot rely on article marketing for driving traffic to your website. It will surely gets you backlinks but low quality backlinks.

You must have heard about Panda update which is hunting for duplicate articles and dropping such content from search results.

Article marketing can still be used to drive traffic. It depends on how you use it.

Most article directories don't allow duplicate content, and Ezine, for example have tightened their criteria to cut out the low quality content submissions.

Quality not quantity. Sure you can submit 1000's of spun articles to a ton of low quality directories, for links. But, having one great article on an authority site (with a backlink) would be worth many times more, not only in terms of targeted traffic, but having a quality backlink.

Articlesbase gets scraped by programs like WP Robot, so it's useful for getting low quality backlinks. But remember to include a link in your actual article because programs like WP Robot allow the scrapers to remove your resource box (links in the article generally seem to stay even if the resource box doesn't).

Articles are still effective for getting traffic. I use Articlebase as well. On average it doesn't get me the same amount of traffic as Ezine does but I still get traffic from it.

Article marketing is effective if you can get a good CTR on your articles. For those articles that have a good CTR I will send backlinks to those articles to boost them up in the search engines. You just have to know if your article converts as that is the most important aspect of article marketing.

Articlebase is Very Good Directory...After Panda Articlebase is Good as compare to Ezine.

Thanks for the replies. Years ago articles is where I began in IM before moving to twitter and Ive always wondered if I should have one of my outsourcers look back into it

Yes, I am using Articlesbase for my article promotion. I did not get huge traffic from this site but it helped me to increase some traffic as well. Therefore using it still now.
