you shouldn't talk to strangers!
but anyway, i don't like the possibilities of what could happen by doing this. asking strangers if they want your ipad, and then not actually giving it to them? i don't think i'd try that.... there's some real nut jobs out there, who knows what could happen!?

true true, they can work well... but i don't think i want to put myself in a position where i'm going to possibly get robbed and/or bashed!

It is funny though how if someone came up to the average Joe on the street and said " hey you want a free ipad?" that Joe would be like, whats the catch? But online he will eagerly fill out anything and jump through hoops to get the free ipad.

You know what? Chances are people wont take it.
I can't remember who did it but a while ago there was this guy who stood out on the street and was trying to give people free $5 notes.
No one took it.
The perceived value of free is usually that of complete and utter crap.
Just some food for thought.
