Questions Regarding Scrapebox and Proxies

I am currently trying to make decisions about which tools will be necessary to automate the manual processes I am currently doing.
With this came a question I have regarding scrapebox and proxies. Is SB useless without proxies? I ask this because on my college network I do not believe proxies will work. They have a lot of things blocked and from what I've seen proxy websites seem to be blocked. How could I go about seeing if scrapebox's use of proxies would be blocked too?
Does that question make sense?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay. I think you are misunderstood. The proxy sites are banned in the college, not the IP proxies; the latter can be used.

You can still check by scraping a few proxies, and test them. If you find a few working ones, then proxies work.

Is SB useless without proxies?

If you want to use SB just for scraping (harvesting) or just commenting, then yes. But because of the addons and other tons of features, this should not be the case.

Looks like ill be purchasing sb, but before I do i think ill test and make sure ip proxies work.
How do you think I should go about doing this??

Go to

http://elite-proxies.blogspot.com/

and copy-paste the most recent proxies.

Then using a software like ProxyFire software or Charon, test them.
