Having some problems posting some pages to other pages walls when posting from a page.

Sorry if this doesnt make sense but basically I use facebook as a page then go on another page and link a different page.

I understand I need to like the page on my personal account and on the page posting but some pages just do not come up no matter what.

Is there anyway I can fix this?

No matter what I try I cant seem to figure out why I can tag some pages but not others.

Any suggestions?

THanks

Its not possible to do it. Been there done that. For some reason fb lets you tag other well established pages, but nothing new.

Your especially fucked if your trying to copy a page that already exists, because you will just keep tagging the original rather than the new one you made.

I am "especially fucked".

please also check for exact wording of the page u want to tag otherwise fb will not show it or it will show some other irrelevant fan page

Why are VIP members on the forum sharing false knowledge?

Go to the top right hand corner of the page, Click the downwords pointing arrow and then click "use facebook as a page" on the drop down menu. Select the page in which you want to do the update on. Now, after you are logged in as the page, you need to navigate to the page you want to tag, and click like. Then, go back to the page you are logged in as, and you can tag it.

It's a long and painfull proccess if you have 20 pages or something. But keep up to date and it's fine :)

+1. Was just about to post this

tagging pages seems to get your accounts disabled/locked/whatever really quickly

So your telling me that your able to own 2 pages on 1 account. Call them page A & page B.

You can switch identity to page A and tag page B?

That MAY be possible in your case, however if you read my reply, you will note that my situation was one that related to there already being a load of exact pages being used as page B.

Example: making a "See more" page. I would like you to try making a "See more" page as page B and then try and tag that on page A. You will only be able to tag the 3 existing "See more" pages, all of which have over 500k likes. Thus rendering your "See more" page pretty much useless.

This MAY not be the case if you call page B something like "W23AZT6" - But choosing something generic will end in tears.

See I am doing all this ^^ (You just explained it alot better than me) but only some pages show up no matter what I do. I was just looking to see if there was a different kind of work around.

Many people forget this when they start a page

Rename your page and put a "-" at the start of it. It should stop calling the more popular pages now.

If that does work, then you know the issue is related to the name and the fact that other more popular pages "got there first".

You don't need to rely on Facebook suggestions to tag a certain page. There are ways around :)
