What To Do With This Domain?

Hey guys, I have a domain utube.com.au & it's getting 165,000 searches on exact, obviously looking for youtube. When I registered the domain, the registrar asked me what my intentions were with this domain. They also took it off me for a while, but I was smart & registered a business as "U Tube". Now they can't take the domain from me.

Now what should I do? I was thinking to create a video site but I know Google will black-list me from their search engine if they see the site. I'm not sure what to do really, I actually don't want anything to do with the site on my IP address. In case I piss Google off & they ban my other sites lol. Any suggestions? Anyone want to help build / market the site let me know. I already have many projects that I work on, so don't really have the time for this new found project. But I still think it's worth doing.

I don't think you should worry about pissing G off. If you have registered the name, then you can build a standalone video sharing site, and show G the middle finger.

It doesn't have to be a video site, you could turn it into a plumbing supplies site, inflatable pool toys or just add a bunch of videos around different themes and add adsense ... or flip the domain.

I'd build out a video site just like you mentioned. Seems strange to me that the registrar asked you what your intentions were with the domain... I've never had a registrar ask me that before!

It is strange how everyone advises you to invest in developing a video site when at the same time there is an unpredictable force majeure risk of Google knocking on your door and closing the whole business.

One rule which I always have is to eliminate as much as possible force majeure risks. These are risks which are out of your control and which can wipe your whole business in seconds.

My advice is to try maximize the traffic by turning the site into a blog that shows hillarious videos.

Maybe write some content 20-100 articles and create product/keyword specific pages that are related to videos.

Then put adsense on it and just leave it like this.

No point to invest too much time energy and money into a project that faces Intellectial property infringement.

So who wants to help? I own to many domains that need to be worked on, I have TONS of good searches but not enough time to build the sites & promote them. I'm working on some really big projects at the moment, have been offered 40k just for one of my domain names. Yeah I was thinking this would happen soon as the site took off, I realise I'm probably playing with fire here. Since Google actually owns You Tube...
