How much is a StumbleUpon bot worth now?

Hey

I was working on a stumbleupon bot engine, it can login/logout, submit a list of urls and like it, submit a review. it also checks if its already stumbled, if so then skip action. Added some proxy enabling, but have only tested that with free public proxies but should work okay too with privates?

anyway, should I continue developing this bot, how much would people maximum pay for it?

If you need testers, I have private proxies I can test it with For me, the problem with Stumbleupon is that those visitors don't usually click ads, they just read and share your content. Of course it's great for getting more visitors but in the same time the quality of the content must be pretty good.

I'm sure you will find buyers for the bot so don't stop developing it. If you have programmed it the right way you can always recode it to support some other sites if Stumbleupon feature doesn't interest people!

I'm using C# atm, but could have done it in Java too. I'll probably continue developing this framework and yes, maybe I could use this for other sites too.

Selling the software won't be of much value.

What people want is OTHER PEOPLE to stumble their content. I don't think many people will want to create hundreds of stumbleupon accounts to stumble their content.

You have to create the bot so people can earn points by stumbling other people's content and in exchange, people can have other member's bots stumble their content. You would make money by selling points.

I personally wouldn't mind running the bot.

Sounds good, but think that needs allot of work done (testers, anti cheating, etc)

It was pretty simple: the bot liked the pages of other users. For every vote your bot made, you got another from a user. It worked GREAT.
It was like two-three years ago. Now, adding proxy support and multiple accounts would make it even better.

Sounds like Viewet (Youtube viewer bot) but for StumbleUpon and instead of views it gives votes.. I might be interested in developing something like that when I have time!

If you are looking for a live example, piqqus.com is still up, although I don't know how many users they have. It isn't totally working, and should give a good idea. Stumbleupon changed their user interface recently.

If your stumble bot doesn't go around browsing and randomly liking things it is worthless. I've noticed that if I don't regularly browse with my stumble accounts that I submit with and like/dislike things my SU traffic drops a lot

if this browsed and everything too I'd be willing to pay a bit for it.
