I would like to know if there is a program that will let me record my team viewer. I was told I could record with teamviewer but it would cost $700. I am looking for a cheap or free way to record when someone log-in to the point where they log-out. I am going to buy an external hard drive for the recordings if it possible. The work I want recorded will be once or twice a week for about an hour each section. Also I would like to record without the person who is being recordeds knowledge if possible.

I'm pretty sure logmein does this. You should take a look.

a screen recorder should work fine for sure!

pretty sure there are lot of cracked versions available !

actually no need for a external softwarre, team-viewer has a built in "record session" option :)

Yes, but it cost $700.00 to use it. I am looking for something covert and free... or cheat

Camtasia works perfect for me. Allows you to select how much or how little of the screen to record and then you can edit the video all from within the same program.

camtasia is pretty cool. I know you can also use jing which is free.

Yea I have been using Camtasia with Teamview to record my training sessions with clients and it works awsome. If I use Skype of my IP phone I get the audio from our phone conversation as well.

CamStudio is free and can probably do what you need.

But I only use Camtasia which is like $299. And would definitely recommend it for long-term use.

But will Camtasia " automatically record when someone log-in to the point where they log-out. I am going to buy an external hard drive for the recordings if it possible. The work I want recorded will be once or twice a week for about an hour each section. Also I would like to record without the person who is being recordeds knowledge if possible."If not, what program will?

I'm pretty sure the recording function would have to be built into the software for what you are looking to do. I can't believe that function costs +$700 in Teamviewer, that is crazy! We use ScreenConnect and it has that function built in for free. You may want to look at their trial and see if you could switch over- it is only $275- so cheaper than adding that functionality in Teamviewer. I know Teamviewer is a one-time fee so I'm guessing you may have already purchased it.

www.screenr.com

EASY no software. works perfect. (5 minute limit though)
I used it the other day for this exact purpose.

Teamviewer is free for personal use. and we all do personal use, cos we are no robots, so no robotic use we are person ... haha
Stupid teamviewer overpriced, i have bought it if that was not that costly. Cos now i use only free hahaa

I use RHUB remote support appliances for recording my remote sessions. It records both screen and voice. You can try it out.

Very important and would be extremely appreciative if someone can assist me with this. This is an old thread but have a question similar to what the OP asked

Will be using TeamViewer to share monitors and Skype to talk with via a headset. I need to find a way to record this session without the other knowing. To be done anonymously. TeamViewer has an option to record the screen but it notifies the other person.

Its a class I am taking and want it as I won't remember the whole class info. Need a reference to look back on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. This is very important. Thank you!

CamStudio is freeware that will film your screen and capture it in .avi format. Totally best solution. I use it for tutorials and such, works great.
