That's not true at all. Various types of porn are illegal. Tube sites skirt the law with the "user upload" model. However, porn producers are DMCAing the tube owners on a daily basis, and most large tubes are in the legal cross hairs of content producers like Vivid and many others. I work in adult. You have no idea how much of an impact tube sites have had on our community. The only way you can run a tube site (and sleep at night) is if you have very deep pockets indeed.
well take a look at rapidshare, megaupload, and so on, all live from warez, they obviously say no, but who on earth is goin to share that many stuff ? what are you goin to upload to their service? webserver backups that you will probably never download? for that you have the cloud services, rapidshare and all those companies live from illegal file sharing, and all they do is when someone complaints they delete the file and say it was the user's fault. the users re-upload it somewhere else and this is how warez lives.
im mailing all kind of adult websites and they send me or upload themselves their video previews of their DVD's and so on, and THAT IS LEGAL, they are the ones uploading.
of course i put some videos there because i need to get content on the website but i'm starting to get contacts from adult companies wich upload their previews so that they can advertise their websites and dvd's.
i understand your point of view, but im keeping this as legal as it can get.
and by the way i remembered what is very dangerous to do: mass mail adult content.
yes, that can send people to jail in no time.
