It's going to happen. Something like this is being tested on my college campus, and it's only me and a few other people who recognize it. Everyone else is too computer illiterate or just doesn't care. I'm in the south btw, and it's worked great...for them, at&t, who supports this.

Google has enough lobbying power like GayPal so they have nothing to worry about.

How will the bill supercede the law about fair use? I think people aren't paying attention.

Video games reviews would fall under the fair use report,as well as commenting about movies. Like for example If i made a youtube clip as 10 best movie villains of all time and use some footage from the movies they were in.

Meh. Wish I could muster up some concern. What comes to mind ...

1) Potential to ban 100,000 AA scrapebox comment websites by mass blasting a link to an uncouth video and reporting all 100,000 links. lol.

2) Remove all ability to post to your own websites so others can't do that to you.

3) Lots of IM's crying who are building a business model that includes movie copyright violation. Oh well, not me ...

4) I can't download movies off the internet anymore. Oh well, I never did that anyways. I actually enjoy going to the movie theater.

5) Casual link sources all become endangered as a method of link generation (all web2.0s, all public forums, all social bookmarking, etc.) ... private networks will increase in value as means of backlink generation.

Yep, just read on torrentfreak today that the MPAA is now targeting cyberlockers like filesonic, upload.to, video-bb etc... (They have been waiting to do this for quite some time, but with this new bill coming to pass, they can now do things of this nature without hesitation). They have already sent a list of rogue sites to the U.S. Government and they can do this with confidence since the E-Parasites bill is already in upcoming legislation. Im always the one who likes to see the positive view of things of this nature but to be honest, if its one thing I learned in life is persistence always prevails wither good or bad (That's how people like Hitler got into power), so even though they did not succeeded with the Protect The IP act (Which is basically what the E-PARASITE Act is but revamped) like "Deleted member 84902 " said in his above post, the average person is not really computer literate enough to even care, and those who are somewhat computer literate will think they are targeting only pirates of movie and warez sites, torrents etc... but when in fact it will affect anyone who has a youtube video with background music not owned by them or a clip from a T.V. episode etc...

Its like giving a gun to a trigger happy teenager, the only time when people will start to care is when they get effected personally... Before you know it they will be targeting sites like BHW and WF for the dumbest reasons..

It would fall under fair use act in many cases of what people do on youtube and therefore a person couldn't be sued over it. Unless this bill is changing the fair use act,then most of what anonymous is saying is paranoid babbling.

For youtube its not necessarily about getting sued, that just would be way to many people but I do think for example if you look on youtube right now and type the name of one of your favorite songs you will see full versions of the song available and some even with download links in the description. People who use other peoples work without there authorization are at the whims of the copyright holder.

Basically its up to the owner to dictate who can use there material and who cant, period. If they say that they do not want anyone to use there material then there word is law. Now usually most corporations are lenient but MAFFIA and RIAA are kown to sue anything that can see or hear, for example when they sued the 12 year old girl and fined her $150,000 per song.

You have to know that the name of the game is money and greed, if they can make 10 cents off of you then you better believe they will go out there ways just to get your 10 cents.
