Checking Keyword Traffic Manually?

Hi Experts,

I am here again with my new discussion which is still on in various forums may it solve here after much searching on this topic. I want to know difference between keyword with quotes or without quotes ?. With this question another question arise how we check traffic of any keyword using query interface(search box)? Well my friend check traffic of keyword without quotes as far as I know we check competition on any keyword using quotes but what the hell is without quotes.

Moreover I read in other forums that it is related to exact match and broad match. I knew if you use with quotes you will get exact match result and if you use without quotes you will get broad result. I highlight my question above in bold please help me to answer while keeping this questions in mind. I crossed my finger hope my question will solve here?

With Quotes:
It will show pages which have your search term in exact arrangement, alignment and allotment.

Without Quotes:
It will show pages which have most of words from your search term

Alright it is same as specified above exact or broad one but could you please tell me how to check keyword traffic using search box manually not through any google keyword tool what you use with quotes or without quotes?
