Not working on my sites ATM I have a big test next month that I have to study for so that will be on my mind for now!

I've stopped the manual (well not manual) automated backlinking i'm just going to outsource it from now on!

Starting a few sites and bought a site from flippa will work on that as well.

After the 21st of November I will begin some serious work on making these sites work! To $200/Day I GO!

Do you write new post/article targetting each term which more or less sound similar and have similar searches too, ranking without keyword in title, h1 gives me jitters

Ah thats pretty cool.. This is pretty much the niche I want to get into, as a big game player (been grandmasters on SC2 before I went inactive) and love writing about gaming.. Diablo 3 will be fun too.

Any chance you could help me out getting started Chipmunk?? I'd be so thankful, maybe could provide some original articles in exchange for info or something

At this point my goal is just $10 a day, and I have 5+ hours everyday to work on it until December.. (and if I can reach that, I can pay my bills enough to not have to work a stupid day job and continue on)

If it gets a considerable amount of searches then i'll write a new post about it even if the only difference is that the words are arranged in a different order. It's a bit rocky though, i've noticed that when this happens that Google has a bit of a trouble figuring out which page is meant for which and gets the wrong page indexed sometimes.

Yup I'm getting over $150/day recently, but I found something that is pretty good, and that's purchasing sites that already have traffic but aren't monetized well on Flippa, i've purchased my second site today and I hope this can increase my income

Sure, or have specific pages that are targeted toward a term and rank that, then your visitor who lands on that page via search engine will be very targeted as well = easy conversion.

Great thread. I wondered when you mentioned gears of war 3 strategy guide, would there be any issues having the game title in your domain name? The other thing I was wondering about is, you can find walkthroughs for free relating to any game in Google, do you think that they're completing the offer as the fans are quite obsessive, and will fill an offer to squeeze every last drop from the game, trophies ect.?

I know all your websites aren't game based but just wondered about that particular niche, thanks.

Of course when you have a product in the domain name you are taking the risk of potentially getting a DMCA request, it all depends on the company though and how aggressive they are in getting rid of these kinds of sites with their name in it.

As long as you do not promote cracks/hacks/exploits for that particular game you won't get hammered.

I liked reading the whole thread. Realistic goal and from my point of view totally achievable. Although not many will follow you step by step because it involves a very high work volume I will test out adding a twist to it. Thanks.

Ive read pretty much this whole thread today and had a couple of questions, I apologize if they have been answered before but its a lot to read in a short amount of time.


1.) Do you just pick one game and then make the emd and site around that? Like for instance Starcraft 2. Just have a site like starcraft2superguide.com and then everything relates to that. Or for copyright reasons do you use a word relating to the game that may not be copyrighted? *not sure exactly how copyright laws work* For instance terranstrategyguide.com

2.) Can you reiterate the layout. If I remember correct you said you have

B. Also do your article pages link to your landing page and/or the content locked pages?

3.) I think you said you were using Wordpress. What theme are you using? Hey There!

For 1) starcraft2superguide.com, I try make it a specific topic and not as general. I found that the general ones while they get more visitors there is a lot more competition, and my way of working was always getting as much result from as little work as possible. So when we get super specific, our traffic won't be as much as the general site, but the visitors will be VERY TARGETED, and when they are very targeted, you can offer them something that almost every visitor who comes to your site will be looking for. EG the Super Guide for Starcraft 2.

2) My site looks like any other wordpress blog, it's just that there is a Banner displayed on every page as well as in the widgets that is very eye-catching, when they click on that it goes to a landing page. If you never clicked the banner though, it would just look like a normal wordpress blog.

Yes the banner has a lot of pre-selling stuff inside it someone who came to the site will def be enticed to click it. None of my articles link to the landing page/content locked page. They either link to another article on the same keyword or my main page.

3) I use a variety of themes, but recently i've fallen in love with Thesis

4) Separate page for each article. I have a static main page that has a 1500~ ish article for my main keyword, then on the top header I have a blog link that has all the other articles. My main page stays the same.

Yeah i've bought two sites so far one for $80 and one for $110 both were STEALS for the amount of traffic they got for that price

Hey, UPdate 11/17.

I pretty much reached my goal. However, I kind of took a shortcut. I realized I could make a lot more by investing into sites with SE traffic that were not monetized well from Flippa, so I bought four sites so far, and they were a bargain, and they pretty much powered me to my goal. There's a lot of crap on Flippa, but you can find pretty good sites for cheap prices if they aren't monetized well, not many people will be wanting it.

For example two of the sites I bought

$80 - Generates me ~$3-6 a day after tweaking it. Will get a return on the site withina month

Another site cost $110 and generates $6-10 a day after tweaking.

Anyways, I should stop buying sites, the other two sites I bought costed $2,300 total, but I will get a return within 1-2 months
