I had a Amd 3.4GHZ quadcore with 5770 and 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz and it was still slow on max settings

If your playing on MAX then you will need a sandybridge , I have an AMD Processor and i find them kinda sluggish (Quad Core 3.2GHZ).

There must be a bottleneck in your system , What PSU do you have ?

Wow thats not enough for the i7 setup , You need atleast a 600w PSU.

Modular PSU's are good also

I should have had a 600 watt PSU for the setup I had as well. lol The CPU was 125 watt and the gpu was like 350 watt. It was also a cheap $50 dynex one I bought.

Ha I bought a XBOX 360 JUST so I could play GTA 4. It's still the only game I play on it after over a year.

San Andres is the only one I didn't like at all, but GTA4 is the only one I played on Live (didn't even think about playing any of the others on it). I've played them all except one of the liberty city spinoffs and either the 1st or 2nd one, don't remember which. That's saying something; I'm not really even a gamer.

No I dont think game companies really go after you for that. I may be wrong I mean cheats are full on the net. Man I loved GTA 4 - I play multiplayer EVERYDAY.Its beyond cool - This is BIG.

Man the only time ive ever plugged my ethernet cable into my ps3 was to try multiplayer on gta4, started playing and i couldnt find a single other person in the game....

Is it still popular with multiplayer on ps3 today? ... maybe i should try it again.

Why did you buy a 360? Im pretty sure GTA comes out on PS3 first

A. At the time I bought it, a base model 360 Was $200. Base PS3=$300
B. I didn't know much about gaming, but I knew that Live is bigger than PSN.
C. There was some racing game I thought about buying but never did that was only on the 360.
D. Something about the newer 360s being more reliable than the PS3s...don't remember exactly

If you're a gta fan that likes playing online and usually have trouble finding people to play with on PSN, get the 360. I have no idea how big of a problem it is on there, but if it is, then 360 definitely wins.

EDIT: this is the only game I currently play on any console.
