Like Script on Video Page

Hey all,

I was just browsing my facebook feed and saw a friend liking a strange video.

So I clicked the link and it was a normal website with a video in it, the only thing is that in the video player, the play button triggers the "like" script. If you are not connected to your facebook account you cannot see the video.

Anyone have this script?

yeah its a decent script that G-S-T posted,
But it needs to be edited a lot, And there is a HUGE issue with the way it uses Youtube's API.
Youtube's API has limits, so when its getting used to much the video titles wont showup on the script, and it will echo Errors all over the place.

Blocking the errors is very simple, but this does not help the fact that YT's API does not allow the script to scrape the info needed to run the site all the time.

Since he gave it to you for free, you guys should just all chip in together and hire someone to make a program for it that will take the YT video, download it, and re-host it somewhere else (there is free hosting if you cannot afford it).

It doesn't matter what script you are have if it uses YT and has problems. The only way to fix it is to find another video sharing site that embeds vids or host the vids yourself!

I don't even understand why people try to force a like, share or fill out a survey to watch a YT video. Sure some people fall for it, but most will just go to YT and search for it. You will have much better conversions if you just use your own vids in your own player. Also then you can embed share, like, tweet, ect. directly into the video as well.

What are you going on about, before you comment you might want to see how the script works before you try to tell people what needs to be done to it lol.

They have no idea its a YT video, till after they have clicked the like button.
So your comments about using your own videos on host other then YT really don't matter man.

The issue with the script is simply that it was created for some quick sales on CPA*Lead Marketplace. It was not developed by someone that had the intention on using or upgrading the script. The way it uses the YT API is its major flaw. This can be changed, with a little knowledge.

Changing the video host would make this script useless, as its coded to use youtubes API. So using a new video host would mean you need to rebuild the entire script.

It would also be very simple to add extra options other then FB like to unlock the video.
About the survey comment you made, I agree somewhat.
But if you know what your doing and you pick the proper niche you will not have ANY problems getting conversions from surveys. You have to remember not everyone understands what they are doing by filling out a survey. Most people have no idea what Internet Marketing/ Gateway lockers are. You just need to be unique, and you can get conversions.

I for one think using networks like CPA*Lead and dollarade are foolish, as your losing a great deal of money using their lockers that lock content with surveys that most of the time don't convert or unlock your content, making your visitors never return.

Simple fix, use a gateway script like CLPro.

Anyways.. before you make random comments, do some research. Don't make random comments thinking its going to help anyone.

If you want to get into it about stats, your stats are shit for the period of time you have been here.
I've been here for a few months and already been thanked almost half as much as you. So stop trying to hide behind your stats, as they mean nothing.

If you notice this thread is about a specific script, not "The VAST majority of sites like this that use YT videos" so again.. this comment is useless.

No need to get heated, I was just trying to prove that I don't make "random comments", I'm not "talking out my ass" and I don't really think I have been called out on anything.

I was pointing out the fact that I try to help out as many members here as I can. I don't typically get involved in this type of argument on BHW, it's pointless, and I have only been in one argument like this before here.

How can we embed shared into the video? I can't find it anywhere
