In Need Of A Dedicated Server! Please Help!

I have searched long and hard and I seem to be running around in circles. There are so many options. Where are you getting your dedi from? I need something that will run around 5-7 instances of SB, 5-7 instances of AMR. Give me the rundown! Your help is very much appreciated.

I use xsserver.eu, they are bulletproof and blackhat friendly, so far so good.

Ecatel is another option...they are about as blackhat as it gets, never used them though, you gotta email them for info, their site is balls, but with as much business as they do, they dont need a flashy site to draw in the punters.

Another vote for AliasServer.com. I've had their Gold package for 3 months now and it's a massive bang for the buck.

XSServer blows, they ripped me $100 and I'm not the first they've ripped off. They also ripped off another fellow bhw member as well. Some here should offer them some IRM services. LOL, a quick search will tell you how crappy their service is.

I would think Ripping off IM'ers and blackhatters would rank pretty high on the "things not to do list", but I guess they didn't think that one through.

Both those companies will let you run pretty much anything except Xrumer.

Well, I made a thread about the same, but for VPS. I got no replies, I was in a rush and paid for an Xsserver unamanged box. speed sucks. Justhost loaded my site faster that xsserver could.

So, would love some suggestion for an unmanaged linux box

Yes you can
Just go to Control panel and create anathor user account as you do in windows
and both you and your partner can connect to it at the same time

I have dual quad core hyperthreaded boxes at gigenet on 1Gbit lines with 12GB of ram. At $279 each, they may seem over priced, but trust me, you get what you pay for. Solid, always up, multiple thousands of simultaneous connections. I can push 400Mbit+ on these boxes per box. Anyway, I have used lots of hosts and the bottom line is you usually get what you pay for and I need a lot, so I pay.

As jass11, you just go to control panel and add a new user. If you add as admin then its all good, if you add as standard user then you have to add them to the remote desktop group for remote login permissions. Also you can only have 2 people max connected to the server simultaneously (unless you setup a license server, which is pain in the rear end and stupidly expensive).

I use OVH.ie/Kimsufi.ie, they work great. Low prices, nice hardware and fast connections. You will get cheaper boxes from Kimsufi, but you will get no support and only 100mbps connection. OVH you can get 1gbps connections and more powerful boxes.

But KS is only $55/mo. and OVH is $150 for the cheapest 1gbps box and $100 for the closest comparison on KS.

If you're from the USA, you'll have to verify your identity. They'll want a picture of your license and a utility bill with the same address before you can activate a server. (A shitty scanner and Photoshop can make anybody live anywhere.)

If you use a Dell OEM key, you can install Windows Server 2008 R2. You also need to change RegisteredName & RegisteredOrganisation in the registry (HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion) from "OVH SAS" to something else, you can leave organization blank.

not sure about dedis from Alias, but their VPSs are definitely good. Been with them for a couple of months, other than 1 reboot it's been smooth all the way.

I need a server with a high availability so i think i choose a cloud system.

My question: Can i install such a cloud system like any V-Server?

I only need a Debian with mysql and when it's possible to use this on cloud.

A friend who uses them and recommended them to me. I was under the impression that bulletproof meant that they didn't really care what you were doing with their server, and that the server is immune from takedowns for spamming...I'm sure if you were doing something highly illegal you may be susceptible to takedowns.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, and advise under what circumstances they will discontinue my server.
