So I recently started IM, and I didnt want to pay for a site out of my own pocket (I would eventually by a site with the blogger earnings). So I built my own blogspot website with a nice keyword getting about 30k searches a month with no site competing against me at all virtually.
I have an idea of what I want this site to look like (I want a tab with product reviews, another tab with multiple area reviews, and a few other tabs with stuff)
But that obviously would require like 20 posts on each page on blogger which isnt possible (as far as i know).
And right now I am just posting generalized stuff about my keyword when I really want to expand and go indepth in that keyword so I can make a site out of it.

What I am kind of asking is, is there anything out there where I can create a free website like im talking about, because blogger is meant for blogs strictly, and I am wanting to make more of a website than a blog.

I could probably skip out on all the product reviews and the other stuff until I get some money from this, and just keep this blogger site to my main general keyword and make it a blog format (especially since I already have done quite a bit of SEO).

I would just like a bit of insight into what I should do with this!

Thanks

Try wordpress... it's great for what you are trying to do.

You could try something like 000webhost for wp, atleast get a paid domain for $10 a year it will help alot.

yeah but dont i need a website i need to pay for for that?
I said I dont really want to pay for a website until i generate something from my blogspot site/free site

Honestly, if it's not worth $10 a year to build a website that can be optimized and drive traffic to, it's probably a waste of time. Part of the learning process is creating and fine tuning your process to get better results. You just won't have the tools available to do the type of site you're trying to build on a free site. Start out with something simple on the free site, learn the ropes and save your money until you can afford a few dollars to build a site.

im confused as to what your saying.

first you say if i dont wanna spend $10 then basically stop trying.
then you say use the free sites to learn the ropes?

i think i have the seo and that part figured out, it is just i need tools to accomplish it. And Really all i need now is to build a website that i have in my mind,,

Don't use 000webhost they will ban you for using high system resources as your traffic will increase to 1-2k without warning.

I think Photoman is right. If you are serious about this then you should seriously consider laying out a few bucks to get a self hosted site. IM takes investment of time and money. It's nice when your earnings cover your costs, but this is a business and there are times when you have to make an initial outlay of capital before you see any return.

I realize that $10 can be huge to some people, but if you want to do this, then save up and do it. Free blogs are great for web 2.0 backlinking strategies, but if you are serious, then do it right and build a self hosted site.

$10 is not huge at all to me trust me... It is just that I want to earn money before I spend money...

And I just found an amazing template for blogger, which I believe is allowing me to achieve what I had in my mind, it will be tricky but if I am creative with it i will easily get it.

I uploaded the template made some changes to it, and it basically saved me hours upon hours of adding widgets and learning how to code them in!

I am so pumped right now, it is better than i even imagined:p

Back when I was heavily submitting pad files, the top PR exe directory I was submitting to (I think it was a 7 or 8) was using blogger. And their site was/is massive.

It can totally work. In fact, I love blogger's (blogspot's) simplicity. Go for it.

Kudos to those who live and breathe IM, so they have money to invest in domains and hosting. They clearly have the know-how. I do not. I tried building blogs "the right way", shelled out a crapload of cash to Go Daddy only to lose 90%+ of my investment. Obviously, I did something wrong ... but ... whatever. I'll never pay for anything again. I use free sites, free tools, free downloads, free everything and NOW I make $50-$100 per day. Eventually I will share my method because I'd like to give back to BHW. It's not passive income, but there really is no such thing, is there? That's a myth. IMers work their butts off. It's never truly a passive endeavor. Not even close. So, unless you know exactly what you're doing and you're just scaling up a method, I say use free stuff. Choose your method, utilize freebies and work it. Work it until the wheels fall off!

Haha yeah I had experiences with them for that! I ended up having to buy their premium hosting (hosting24), but hey, my site's much faster now and I can easily make up the money it requires for hosting.

Okay I have got everything just as i wanted it, but i was browsing a "competitor" (not really competitor because he is ranking for different keywords, but I looked at his site (he has some features on his site which I will have on mine as well) and I realized it will take alot of time to write and make all the content for my site)

But I believe it will pay off because the site can eventually be transformed into something similar to the thread ("How I made 5k over the Holidays" I would post a link, but I dont have enough posts yet. Also If you wanna see that just search for it in the search bar)

But yeah I dont know if this will turn out to be a micro niche site or more of an advertising site for companies. Hopefully it is the later, because that means alot of money for me.

Wish me luck, all I need to do basically is make alot of content, and do "some" SEO slowly building each day. I think I should get #1 for my keyword in about a month if I write the good content and do some seo.

thanks.

edit: I think this is transforming into somewhat of a journal sooo

Hey, good luck to you dude. I prefer using free resources too until I get some steady income coming in. There's nothing wrong with that. Learning is part of the game & taking action is what really counts! :high5:
