first spot but very few visits..why ?

I have a blog that I update just for fun, however I decided to seo it seriously, worked hard for the past month and now for the past 5 days i am number 1 for a term with 9.900 exact searches.. But I only get like 30-50 uv per day for that keyword. Shouldn't I get more ?

Double check to make sure that you're not logged into your Google Webmaster account, or that you are not logged into Google before you search.

well crappy more or less if you mean in terms of difficulty..in terms of quality it also sucks, with my site being far superior

if your description on google related ? sometimes google can put random text below the link in search results.

Does your term have 9900 global exact searches? The term might have much less locally in your country. If you are not ranking in the country where people are searching you will not see the traffic. Just a guess... you might also want to check out google insights to see if it is a seasonal keyword.

yes my description is related to the site. Let's say the keyword is computer processors, my description is something like Site containing detailed information for all the computer processors ever made...

yes 9.900 global and local 14.000 (exact).. I am number 1 in google.COM so i guess I should be receiving more than 50 visitors a day from google.com for that particular kw ... and no its not a seasonal kw, its more or less a stable one :/

Then yes, you should be expecting to see more, 130-150 uniques would be more reasonable. You would be getting even more if you are also ranking for some related long tail traffic. If you want to PM me the keyword I can take a peek and see if there is anything odd about it.

Don't forget that people maybe clicking on the ads above the search results. Even if you are number 1 you still usually have about 3 ads above you.

And don't forget that the keyword tool is not always accurate.

your search count might be wrong. I guess you are having much less local monthly search vol. for your kw. google adwords external tool is not always correct.
