So, I made the mistake of using a raw cpa link and set up a sweet campaign that had a 400% ROI through about 40 conversions in a single day!! Next day same campaign nothing changed..........1 conversion in the same amount of traffic!! The Offer I was pushing had a EPC of .01 and Conversion of about 2%.........Today I looked and the EPC is .04 and conversion is at 8%.........Make a long story short someone at the old CPA company clearly tracked the source and the method of my campaign and has shut me out!!!

Lesson here is always always hide your traffic through redirects on your own domain.........I knew this but had a moment of TRUST?? Won't happen again!!

what the fuck...didn't know that cpa networks would go this far....thanks for your valuable information!

Typical of IMers. Gotta be at the top. Either throw more resources at it or go to the next offer.

This is more like you are getting scrubbed because your traffic isn't backing out for the advertiser so they have adjusted your EPC.

LoL......yah I did know this, but as I said I had a moment of trust!! I know CPA companies are shady but I really didn't expect to get submarined this quickly! Anyway, I will be contacting my affiliate manager tommorrow just to see what he has to say.....should be entertaining

They made that determination in one day???

about 400 ..........legit traffic.....completely white hat to an email submit that requires NO Participation??

If it's completely white hat, then why would a company track and lower your EPC. CPA Companies win if you make a conversion as well. They're there to build a long term relationship with affiliates not try to scrub a few dollars from one not earning too much to begin with.

By white hat do you mean you got people that were genuinely interested in the offer?

They still require some participation to an extent. For instance even if the email submit paid out 45 cents, if none of your clicks go to the second page you are still going to get scrubbed/removed from the offer because that traffic is not profitable for the advertiser.

They didn't lower my earnings per click......my conversions suddenly stopped suggesting that someone tracked my campaign and now they are running it themselves........why pay me when they have all the campaign information needed to run it themselves??

Yep I Basically told people exactly what the offers landing page said....doesn't get any more white hat than that??

LOL....just changed my link and got a conversion 2 minutes later???

Very shitty dude. If your willing to, Pm the network name so I can be sure to shy away from um.

There are many facts involved in this this. Have you thought of old visitors come through your link? It seems you were buying advertising space from some websites or forums.

I learn something new every single day here at BHW. Thanks given.

Happened to me too last year.
Since then i always use my own domains,pages..etc, and never link to them.Ever!
This should be among first lessons, that a newbie should learn.

Tell us what CPA network is this.

which network are you talking about ? honestly I never thought that CPA networks can go this far.....
are you still using that campaign ??

Very interesting information you found OP.
There are companies that would probably do this... greedy for money.
