promoting cpa offers on fb PPC campaigns ?

hello
i am completely newbie in ppc marketing and i just yesterday i decided to give it a shot ... i found amazing offer in my network email submit '' Get ***** FREE gift card '' it pays $1.30 and it amazed me when i sent some traffic to the offer the epc was $.40 << i see this is GREAT

then i set up fb ppc campaign for this offer of course i did not do direct linking i made blogspot about the offer and when my campaign got approved i redirect user to the offer

my bid was $.20 and i was thinking that its high and i will change it once i get some clicks
the problem is that i do not get any clicks or impressions and i start to put higher bid and it does NOT show me any clicks till reach to $.80 which is crazy and will make me lose alots of money

i start to get clicks and traffic start to flood to my offer but sure i paused it after i knew the reason beyond not getting clicks or impression

so please help me my offer its epc only $.40 how can i promote on fb and make profit ??

why i have to put very high bid to get clicks ? i think $.80 per click is CRAZY

my ad targets 121,796,700 users:

• who live in the United States
• between the ages of 21 and 64 inclusive

Try targeting your offer first of all, 121 million is a huge demo unless you have one amazing ad you're going to get a super low CTR.

Depending on the niche you're working with the CPC might initially be high but if you can get a decent CTR it should drop.

As for bidding I usually go 6 cents above the lowest suggest bid so I start off getting a good amount of impressions.

PPC is all about testing, keep testing different demographics, images, body text (try to keep it short).

You have to lower your target! Aim for something around 20k users. Personally, I would also pay by 1,000 impressions, not clicks.

You can lower down the users by targeting males or females only. Also, lower the age range. Something like 25-30. Then make sure to set the interests.

These will all depend on what your offering.

i was promoting free gift card offer and after my ad approved and i was targeting only 20millioins .... i did not receive any impression and then fb show me message say that my ad does not appear on fb and i have to expand my targeting or raise the bid do you think that the subject of the ads effect the click price ? i did not know that .... anyway thank for your advice

20 million is still too high, try getting your target audience under 500k you want quality clicks. If you received no impressions at all then your bid was too low make sure its the same if not a little higher (i go 6 cents) above the suggested bid.

Facebooks way of determining quality ads are based on the CTR, after maybe a few hundred to a thousand impressions if the CTR stays low Facebook will stop showing that ad.

The subject of the ad definitely affects the bid price, high competition keywords will have high CPC
