Agreed. I live in northern New England; in the spring time 45 degrees is shorts weather. And my kids never want to wear as many layers as me, maybe because I'm a girl and they're boys and girls just seem to get colder easier. I would be pretty pissed if someone called SS on me because of it.

I was drunk and pissed when I started this thread. Now I only have a buzz but I am still pissed.

Ive seen some posts saying that the temperature I stated is not that cold. Well I must confess that those numbers came from the local weather. I did walk out to take the trash out and in short sleeves I was uncomfortably cool within a minute.

So in other words... In my humble opinion its too fucking cold for little kids to be outside with no shirt, and no shoes! Exactly how cold would it have to get before some of you see my point?

As a parent you dress your kids as you dress yourself. This lazy bitch did not.

Would like to add that its not just this one thing. These kids ran around all summer with no shirts and I saw some wicked sunburns (blisters and all) Can someone say melanoma?

I live in an apartment complex and cars come in all day and most of the night. These kids play out in the driveway with their toys all the time.

I have seen cars have to stop for her kids playing in the middle of the drive while she sits on her fat ass and hollers for them to get out of the way. Too lazy to get off her fat ass and collect her kid out of the middle of the road.

A couple of weeks ago my girlfriend and I are going out to the store. Its dark and she is driving.

As we back out of the driveway I see a front tricycle wheel come into view on my side of the van. This is the same direction we are backing towards.

I scream for her to stop. She slams to a stop and I watch this poor little kid in diapers pushing a tricycle across the drive toward his mother that is obliviously standing there chatting with the neighbor.

That kid was 5 feet behind the van and was traveling into the direct path that we where backing into. Had I not been there and just so happen to turn my head completely while she was backing out... My girlfriend would have run over that baby.

Well the shittiest thing about the whole deal is that when we hit the brakes the mother looks over, watches her kid push the trike over to the sidewalk, and turns back to her conversation like nothing even happened.

Maybe the cold won't kill them but I bet ya that a '97 minivan will.

I bet you don't have kids. The temperature thing I still completely disagree with you on. I was raised in Alaska, and can recall fucking swimming in 40 degree weather when I was 4 or 5. Last night it was about 35 degrees here, and I went outside in flip flops, shorts, and no shirt, and was fine for over an hour. Just because you are a pussy and got cold after a few minutes, does not mean that it's dangerous. Also, the mom was probably not very active due to her fattiness, thus the reason she needed sweatpants and a coat.

However, the other things you have said are disturbing and paints a totally different picture. Some people are indeed bad parents. But please, don't call SS on someone just because they let their kids out in the elements for a few minutes. That's fucked up.

Now if you see her start to hit her children with an extension cord, or an iron rod, go ahead and give SS a call. But honestly, I live in fear every day someone will come and take my kids, just because some douche calls SS for the dumbest reason. No parent is perfect, and people with no kids expect everyone to be.
