How to recover from Panda?

I'm opening this redundant thread because I'm crazy to find out what this Panda is really.

I've been searching the web and testing various things and it seems I'm on the path to recovery. I'm going to say the things I did, maybe more people came with ideas, find the pattern and nuke this Panda update.


1. Do you have nofollow on your external links?
2. Have your website been scraped? One of the interesting things I found is that certain websites have scraped certain pages of my websites and they rank just besides me and I'm not ranking position 1, but way less (6-7-8). Could being scraped be the reason to this Panda update?
3. Why are certain pages still ranking where they used too? It means it's not a side-wide penalty, right?

What other patterns do you see? This Panda is not about bounce rate or time on website. My bounce rate has been the same during other Panda updates. I think it's more about other websites scraping our content, spelling & grammar and other patterns (like nofollow).

Here's what Panda is about:
- site design
- visitor experience (pages navigated/time on page/pages visited/bounce)
- links from good places
- links to good places
- social mentions (FB/TW/+1)
- unique content (not spun/re-hashed/scraped)
- spelling/grammar/sentence structure

It's REALLY HARD to games those metrics, thereby improving gaygles search results.

Answers:
1. nofollow all links left in comments, ads, etc.
2. make sure the content on your site is UNIQUE
- file DMCA takedowns for sites scraping you?

nofollow tags are not the issue of the panda.
site with similar content also rank round about or little higher then your site because of content freshness
the penalty is imposed on faulted pages not on the entire domain

Well i am pretty sure that good spinned content is not regognize until now.

Do you have any example where spinned articles rank more worse than before Panda?

How can one prove the penalty is only on faulted pages, not the entire domain?

Most of my pages (90%) were faulted/got the penalty. A couple (let's say 5%) were left in their place. I consider that the penalty is passed through internal links and removing those 10-15% faulted pages can remove the entire penalty.
I need to test it out, but I was curios if anyone has this figured out.

If we knew what Panda was doing it would be easy to counter.
My own view is affiliate links play a part.I am not in that market and have seen noth detrimental effect of any Panda update.
Basically if your site is OBL monetised you need to be far more careful with link building than if your site actually directly sell something (e.g you are NOT an affiliate or don't have adsense on your site).
I have tested this with adsense,the site was struggling,removed adsense jumped in no time.

It's a case of testing as much as possible,thats the fun of it.If someone cracked Panda do you realistically expect that sort of info to be shared while it was effective....
