Bullseye. I agree with what you just said, I also think/know that you cant just do one with out the other. I have 3 sites ranking in spot 1, 2 and 3rd with over 24,000,000 veiws a month. I make ever type of link I can and every way I can. When it comes to SEO do not limit your self to what kind of links to make. Besides from you will have a boat load of juce you will get traffic for each link some more then others but traffic is traffic. youll be susprize at how people will find your site. A wize man once said to me "Just cause your not on first page of google does not mean your not frist on an other search engine." People use yahoo and bing still. Just my two cents.
This is a good post and an eye opener. Most are looking at niches to rank on google. Why cant we consider Bing and Yahoo a niche unto themselves, especially when there is no guarantee to ever get to page 1 on google. That said, it looks like you did a fine job anyway.

What are the differences between googles algo and the yahoo or bing algo?

What is Guest Posting links? I've never use these type of links before.
Guest post is when another blog owner lets you write an article for his site, as a reward they usually allow you to add a backlink to your site. If you are a good writer that is a good way to get free high quality backlinks for free, the blog owner also gets a good article for free, it is a nice exchange.

Great info here...is there a way to know if a sites/blog's comments/classified are 'no follow' - or is it just pot luck?

I see a lot of blog comments that are spam - but left on by the mods, so I am thinking they either a) don't have resources to spring clean or b)are no follow so don't care.....

Don't want to waste too much time on no follows! Thanks :-)

Search for the plugin for firefox or chrome called SEO Quake. They have an option to strike through nofollow or no index links. Also, you could check manually by opening the source code, doing a quick ctrl f and type in hyperlink text and check for the no follow attribute. Seoquake is your best bet though.

Here is my list, numbered based on priorities

1. Guest posting to related authority blogs
2. Build presence in social sites like linked in, twitter, digg, su etc
3. Submit videos to popular video sites, then promote those videos as well to increase views

But if I only do one for baclink that will be guest posting.

Cheers Class.....SEO Quake it is then! Had heard of it....forgot about it, never tried it! Off to install now.......it will help a lot I am sure........

All of them are important and hold good values more or less, You cant ignore any one of them. Just try to maintain diversity and variety and build backlinks consistently to rank your site higher. Dont forget about social media, as its very important nowadays in seo.

That's right, each one has its' own important and there wont be any harm in applying those tactics if used with defined approach. Still you need recommendation than I would suggest you social bookmarking, blog posting and directory submission.

All Method is important in Link building...all the methods will somehow help you mate

The best method is directory submission.

backlink diversity is The ONE link building method.

The Other ONE is continuity!

there is no Panda, no big G who would stand in front of this with the STOP sign, of course I am talking about people that knows when it is enough, knows to stop them self!

Classified ads are a new one to me. I'll look that up, but if anyone would care to shed some light on that, I will be very appreciative.
