Well apparently I had an account that I havent logged into because I forgot the username nad password but recently I had found it it was made back in 2007 and it looks like clickbank deducted 1 to 5 bux every month until my 60bux was gone, is this legit? can they do this?

This is in their policy and yes this does occur. Sucks but legal... you agree to their policies :)

ahh thats rediculous, wish I woulda known that

yes , please read their Terms of Service closely then you'll know why.

I reached the threshold too and they never sent the check they just let it sit there and took the money

Regardless what they want to call it in their TOS it is nothing but theft.

I read about it, and not in the TOS (I'm sure there is the TOS as well), is in the faqs

Clickbank also stole my money $30. This my fault because I set up $500 minimum payment thereshold.

I have to put the lowest amount for payment according to their TOS. Otherwise they will stole it all, when you are not make any sale for a period of time.

It seems Clickbank encourage people withdraw as soon as possible. This is quit different with Paypal.

Clickbank stole my $120 also.

Any one knows ClickBank deduct $1 from my commission for certain time that I haven't login to my account or haven't made any sales?

Thanks.

Clickbank will deduct $1 every 15 days after your account
does not have any transaction within 90 days. After 180 days,
if there are still no transactions in your account, Clickbank will
deduct $5 every 15 days until your account balance will go to
zero.

Clickbank will also hold your payment even if it reaches the
minimum threshold you set (e.g. $100) when only three or
less than three credit cards are being used in purchasing the
products, e.g. three customers bought an ebook each of them
using their own individual credit cards (which makes three
different credit cards). It has to be four or more different
credit cards. If you are using your own affiliate link to purchase
in Clickbank and no other people bought through your affiliate
link or you don't sell anything, then that is only one credit card
and Clickbank will hold your payment.

How do you get these information?
Is it from clickbank TOS?

How if the customer pay via PayPal? it's not credit card.. thanks

This is discouraging, especially when I'm not even good at long term marketing. I guess cpa is the way to go then......

You may have reached the threshold, but that's not the only requirement to receive your first check.

See here: http://www.clickbank.com/accounting.html#A15

And in order for them to continue to allow your dormant account to take up resources without making them any money, yes, they will charge you for it staying open.

Regardless what they want to call it in their TOS it is nothing but theft.

Um, no. It's a charge in exchange for people with dormant accounts to continue to consume their resources. You used THEIR payment processor and merchant account so you don't have to worry about keeping your own open (which is harder than it sounds in IM). Your dormant account sits on THEIR servers, which they pay for each month.

Your dormant account is costing them money. As much as they take in a charge? No, but Clickbank never promised to be a non-profit.

Any and all legal laws don't even view this as a gray area. They are FULLY within their rights, as it is not theft to charge for continued service for dormant accounts.

Yeah, it's in both. However, it seems that some affiliates just won't be happy until they plaster it in big red letters on the home page.

I swear that if the people who bitch and cry about this policy took that energy and MARKETED with it, they'd get their money.

They didn't steal anything. Read their Terms or their FAQ. It's not like they hide their policy.

See the requirements here: http://www.clickbank.com/accounting.html#A16

It will explain how a PayPal purchase fits into the whole thing.

However, I'll tell you right now that PayPal purchases only account for about 1/8th of all purchases on Clickbank.

This is discouraging, especially when I'm not even good at long term marketing. I guess cpa is the way to go then......

Why do you just accept that you're "not even good at long term marketing?"

What keeps you from being good at it?
