Hi everybody.

I have a main keyword with an EMD domain, but i have never run a site only targeting a single keyword before. I want a bunch of well written unique content, but i'm uncertain if they should all be around the same keyword, or what am i supposed to do?

Thank you all in advance.
Cheers!

Gotta bump this! Nobody has an answer for my question? :-)

Well I don't have much experience but from my little observations I can say that you have to write every article related to that one keyword and also the keyword should be found 2-3 times in every article. I think that unique content is a big plus in this situation but it must be all related to that single keyword. Also give attention to your on-page SEO, you must adjust it for your keyword.

I hope that this is helpful :)

Site should be around one niche. But keywords can be as many as you want. Use google keyword tool to find new similar keywords and write some posts about them too. Also, use long tail keywords. For example, if your site is about "Dog Training" pick some keywords as "Dog training tips" "Dog training secrets" "Easy dog training" etc. Again, use google keyword tool :)

Personally, I wouldn't built a wordpress blog around one keyword. Google prefers sites about topics. Try to find more keywords that suit into that niche and enlarge the blog by targetting the other keywords.

I personally target the primary keyword and off shoots of the keyword.

(i.e. Tools x2 >> Wrench x1 >> hammer x1 -- repeat)

Either way, if you have quality content that relates to your keyword (phrase) you should be fine.

Well, you can have a sticky main page targeting the root keyword and I'm sure there would be some related long tails which you can target by posting articles for each.

The LSI addon on Keyword Scout allows to find long tail keywords to write on. You should include long tail keywords in your article title and body.
